Brides The Show, 2-4 October 2015: Time To Be Inspired

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably a bit shocked by the fact that we’re already speeding towards the end of September. However, the impending arrival of October can only be a good thing because it means that it’s time for Brides The Show.bridestheshowheader

Now, I’ve been getting excited about the 2015 edition of Brides The Show for sometime (see my previous features about designers, dresses and amazing suppliers!) and now it’s finally time to get set to be inspired because Brides The Show is so much more than talented exhibitors and heavenly catwalk shows – it is jam-packed full of inspiration so here’s my pre-show guide of things you absolutely shouldn’t miss…

Firstly, head to the Imagination Room and check out the timetable so you guarantee your spot for the creative workshop of your choice. From the marvellous Zita Elze showing you how to create wearable floral jewellery and Eagle Eyed Bride getting pretty over table plans to Joakim Pratt from Maître Choux giving you the chance to fill and decorate exquisite éclairs, there’s a lot going on. If you’re a fan of clever craft, this is yet another part of Brides The Show you won’t want to miss.

Then it’s time to get comfortable On The Sofa as the Brides team host Q&As with some of the stars of the wedding industry. Designers such as Suzanne Neville, Stephanie Allin and Jenny Packham will be revealing all and there’s even a great session for grooms as Nick Carvell from GQ runs through his top ten style tips for guys.

Your day at Brides The Show is certainly going to be non-stop but you can still take some time out to pamper yourself. Chelsea favourite Duck & Dry are in charge at the Brides The Show Pop Up Blow Dry Bar so why not take a little time out to get your tresses styled to perfection? Do book in advance to secure your slot and then browse the lookbook to see the styles on offer. Your makeover continues as Bobbi Brown are running make-up masterclasses and hosting talks designed to prevent any wedding day make-up dramas.

If all that’s on offer just seems a little overwhelming or if you’d like to know where to start then may I recommend you take a Bridal Promenade with the lovely Bruce Russell? Expert wedding planner Bruce will take you on a private 45-minute tour of the show where he’ll personally introduce you to a selection of handpicked exhibitors. Every tour starts at The Brides Bar where you can enjoy a glass of Nyetimber English Sparkling wine. Get in touch to book your Promenade today – [email protected].

Another of the many wonderful things about Brides The Show are the charity activities that take place throughout the weekend. Head to the Cake Pop Wall where 120 luxury bridal prices worth nearly £16,000 and including everything from the dress to the shoes and even your honeymoon are on offer. This is a great way to support the Teenage Cancer Trust and don’t forget the Brides I Do For Charity competition, again raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and here, there are £24,5000 worth of goodies up for grabs.
