Autumn is hands down my favourite season, and there are so many reasons why; the arrival of my firstborn and the annual reminder of all that anticipation and excitement all rolled into one, the sense of cosy warm nights in, the opportunity to start wearing my wooly hat! And there there are the colours, the sublime hues of copper, gold and earthy neutrals that reflect the ever-changing landscape around us.
I sense a touch of melancholy today – it feels like Autumn is loosening it’s magical hold ever so slightly – winter feels a little too close around the corner. We’ve been so busy at Love My Dress wedding blog H.Q, working on our gorgeous new wedding directory, ‘Little Book For Brides’ and making plans for 2016 and whilst I’ve been trying hard to down-tools at the weekend and stop throughout the day to enjoy the outdoor beuaty, I can’t help but feel Autumn has come, and is just about to go all too quickly this year. I’m thankful, therefore, for these beautiful image sent in by stationery designer Elizabeth of Lizzy May Design.

Elizabeth worked with a team of fellow Gloucestershire Wedding suppliers on this shoot, including photographer Chris Scuffins, The Vintage Hire, florist Sara Tuckey, cake makers Cake Daydreams and Hetty’s Tea Party, jeweller Biba and Rose, hair and makeup artist Nadezdha Hardiman and dress designer Jessica Charleston who created these really beautiful gowns – the tiered one I have a particular fondness for.
The rich tones surrounding the beautiful venue, Bibury Court, loaned themselves most beautifully as backdrop to this shoot. Coupled with table decor supplied by Table To Dine For and Vintage Gold China & Cutlery, the whole setting provides a most inspiring scene for anyone looking to create a stylish and elegant Autumn wedding.

Bibury Court is an exquisite privately owned 16th Century Jacobean country house and stunning wedding venue in the heart of the Cotswolds. Set in six acres of gorgeous landscaped grounds, next to the River Coln and framed by the Cotswolds hills it’s hard to imagine a more perfect setting for your special day. “My first choice of supplier was Jessica Charleston. Her vintage inspired couture was exactly the style I was looking for, and these were paired with fabulous accessories from All Things Lucy, and Biba and Rose. Our model Sabina, was expertly dressed by Nadesdha, with flawless hair and makeup. We were spoilt for choice at Bibury, when looking at shooting locations. Everything in the garden looked perfect.”
