Good morning weekend readers, I hope you’re feeling good today. I have a beautiful Italian wedding to share this morning, and I’m hoping that it might inspire those of you planning a destination wedding. Sarah, a Doctor, married Jeremy, who consults for the horse racing industry, on 6th July this year at a glorious spot at an old monastery, Grand Hotel Convento, nestled within the Amalfi Coast in Italy. The couple chose the location chosen for it’s proximity to the beautiful Mediterranean ocean and because of their love of Italian food, wine and culture. The wedding was organised by Italian wedding planners Sposiamovi. Sarah and Jeremy’s wedding was captured beautifully on film by Marco Caputo, you can see the captivating film here.
“Jeremy and I met in Guatemala. We were both backpacking and met on a bus going to Honduras. We ended up traveling together for six weeks and later I moved from my home in Norway to Jeremy’s home in Australia.”

“Nine years later (just after I had graduated from medical school), Jeremy proposed during a sailing trip in the Caribbean.”
Bridesmaids gowns from Zimmerman
“He proposed at the back of the sailing boat while enjoying the sunset, a glass of wine and some local seafood. Eight months later, we got married in the Amalfi Coast in Italy.”

“Our venue was the Grand Hotel Convento – we wanted to be married near to the sea, given our sailing backgrounds, and our wedding was inspired by nature and the ocean.”
Sarah wore the Gabriela gown by Moira Hughes, an Australian designer.
“I wanted a natural yet elegant dress. I loved the fact that it was made from raw silk and was light to wear which was very comfortable in the Italian summer heat. I also loved the laces and my long veil with lots of details.”
Sarah’s Father walked her down the aisle and her Mother lifted her veil from her face – such a tender moment.
Words of Wedded Wisdom
“Start preparing early! Spend the night prior with someone close – a sister or a good friend.”
What a chic and elegant day – huge congratulations to you both Sarah and Jeremy – thank you for allowing us the pleasure of sharing your wedding on Love My Dress today. My huge thanks also to photographers Alessandro and Veronica Roncaglione.
