Spring to me is all about flowers. As I look out of my window right now, I can see daffodils and crocuses in the garden plus some blossom in the trees above. I love the delicate beauty of flowers and I know that I’m not alone. For so long, flowers have been an integral part of any wedding and today, I’m thrilled to introduce you to Florentés and their beautiful flowering handmade bridal accessories.
Florentés is a family-run accessory studio based in Lithuania. Founded in 2013 by designer Daiva Florentés and her daughter Inga, they create gorgeous flowering bridal accessories that are sent to brides all over the world. If you’ve yearned for a long-lasting alternative to a fresh floral headpiece that’s quintessentially bridal and yet still makes a statement, then Florentés should be your go-to supplier.
Daiva has always loved working with fine materials and the process of designing and hand making pieces is one that she just adores. There’s an incredible level of attention to detail in every finished Florentés piece and the smallest, almost invisible, feature is absolutely perfect.
“Our signature style can be described as one that uses the beauty of flowers in feminine and elegant bridal designs,” says Daiva. “Florentés accessories are designed for brides who celebrates beauty in the smallest of details.”
“We named our 2016 collection ‘Les Bijoux de mon Coeur’ or ‘the jewels of my heart’,” explains Inga. “Every flower in our range is handmade in our studio from several pieces of fabric. Each piece is sketched, cut and crafted separately and then assembled by Daiva with matching details to create our signature delicate flowering look.”
The 2016 collection combines traditional millinery techniques with unique design flourishes. Daiva spends a long time studying each flower and bloom that’s going to be included in a piece and then designing the pattern and layout for each.
“The challenge is to create a fabric flower which looks as real as it does in nature,” says Daiva. “However, we always look to add some extra charming touches to each so that we can create truly special accessories for our brides to wear on their wedding days.”
The Florentés 2016 collection includes a number of their signature pieces including enchanting single flower hair clips, beautiful bridal rose hair clips, flower headpieces and the most delicate lace headpieces. I’m personally a huge fan of hair vines for the flexibility that they offer brides and also for their overall grace and style and the Florentés designs really are exquisite. You’ll also find tiaras and the cutest birdcage veils in the collection too.
“All our designs are made to order,” explains Inga. “So, once we’ve received your order, we begin the process of hand making your own personal bridal accessory. We also love to work with brides to create bespoke veil designs and, of course, custom made bridal accessories. Usually, we base the design around one of our existing flower patterns then create the piece to bring in other details such as the bride’s dress, hair style or other accessories.”
The floral charms of bridal accessories from Florentés are most definitely naturally beautiful for every season!
Bridal accessories by Florentés range in price with signature flower hair clips starting at £23 with the most intricate headpieces from the 2016 collection peaking at £140.
