Hello lovely readers, I’m back again to share the latest (and rather ingenious) bridal collection from Lara B Couture, the in-house label from Newmarket’s Lara B Bridal Boutique. If you love all things classic but also adore a playful touch then this feminine and romantic range of wedding gowns is sure to make you smile…
Lara B Bridal Boutique opened in the racing town of Newmarket, Suffolk eleven years ago and for owner Lara Kinnett, it was a dream come true:
“After being a lingerie designer for nearly twelve years, I wanted a new direction and after moving back to the area where I grew up with my husband, I was lucky enough to fulfill my dream of owning a bridal boutique and I’ve never looked back!”
With Lara’s experience in design and pattern cutting, developing her own in-house range at Lara B Bridal Boutique seemed the obvious next step and so Lara B Couture was born. But, this is a bridal label with a difference…
“When I started designing for Lara B Couture, I knew exactly what the collection needed to be – separates BUT in a completely different style to everyone else,” explains Lara. “The Lara B Couture range is a collection of separates that allows brides to choose their perfect combination and then have it made, here in the UK, into ONE dress.”
I absolutely love this fantastic idea! How brilliant to be able to play with the tops and skirts in the collection, to layer up or to layer down and then create a truly bespoke dress that suits you to perfection? You can absolutely ensure that the dress that you wear on your wedding dress is very much something that you’ve had a hand in creating and is absolutely your very own wedding gown.
Lara describes the style of the Lara B Couture collection as ‘classic with touches of cuteness’ and she’s designed this collection as a real response to her clients:
“Our brides were asking for this but no other range offered anything similar so I decided to do it! The range is eminently suitable for a church wedding but it also has a slightly less traditional feel. The current collection has an underlying ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ vibe. It’s romantic, bohemian and very feminine but the addition of some corsetry gives it a chic edge.”
Lara has included some beautiful details in her designs such as layers and laces and she balances on-trend fabrics with elements that aren’t so fashion-focused so the pieces remain ideal for modern brides dreaming of a classically elegant gown.
“I’m inspired by fashion and haute couture styling too and I love to play slightly with traditions. For example, brides love the cut-out embroideries and these, laid over crepes and satins look organic and stylish.”

Wedding dresses from Lara B Couture at Lara B Bridal Boutique range in price from £1,400 to £1,900 for a complete dress. Gowns can be made within 8-10 weeks but if you’re short on time, do let Lara know, as it’s possible to have your complete dress finished before that if needed.
