Well, here we are in September and I have a truly perfect way to start the new month. We are absolutely thrilled that Eliza Jane Howell has allowed us to showcase the stunning new Stardust collection on the very day it launches. As someone who has a very soft spot for these unique gowns, I couldn’t be happier than I am right now and I hope you love Eliza Jane Howell’s individual and luxurious designs too.

Eliza Jane Howell wedding gowns are designed by Gill Harvey, who named the business after her grandmother. Gill herself graduated from the Royal College of Art in London and, after super successful evening, occasion and red carpet collections, she fell for bridal and launched Eliza Jane Howell in 2012.
Ever since, collections from Eliza Jane Howell have married ancient techniques with new ideas in the most perfect fashion and this blend of old and new makes every Eliza Jane Howell wedding dress unique.
“We like to think of our dresses as heirloom or investment pieces which can be preserved and passed on to the next generation,” says Gill. “Eliza Jane Howell dresses are obviously not traditional and the brides who chose them tend to be more confident with their own personal style.”
I absolutely love the mix of the old and the new in the Stardust collection. There are always modern lines and flourishes that give the gowns a look and feel that’s undeniably contemporary and the very best classical touches and styles are also included. It’s utter perfection.
“Our look is glamorous and stylish at a price to suit most budgets. Every dress is individually made and combines exquisite traditional and modern hand beading techniques and patterns.”
The 2017 Stardust collection from Eliza Jane Howell is most definitely a worthy successor to the 2016 Grand Opera collection that was a huge hit around the world. Gill and the team knew that they needed a fabulous photo shoot to launch the Stardust collection and the fabulous Asylum Chapel provided the perfect backdrop for these beautiful dresses.
“The gowns in the new collection are all named after stars and constellations,” explains Gill. “Highlights include Zenith with its more contemporary and modern looking beading and the elegant but sexy Zeta dress which echoes the bias cut dresses of old Hollywood.”
Zeta is most certainly a personal favourite. I adore the way this fully hand beaded gown drapes the body, showing just a hint of your curves and with its low, sexy strappy back, it’s certainly worthy of any modern day starlet.
I’m also a huge fan of bridal capes, especially now as we head into autumn and winter. The hand beaded Mitzi and Mimi capes from Eliza Jane Howell are also brilliant additions to the Stardust collection and again, they combine the new and the old wonderfully.
It’s been such a delight to share Stardust by Eliza Jane Howell with you today and I don’t know about you but I’m certainly in heaven right now.
