An All-White Floral Fairytale By Zita Elze – Award Winning Wedding Florist

Zita Elze Julian Winslow 94

Well hello again lovely readers and I hope you don’t mind me popping in quickly today but I just had to share these amazing images from florist Zita Elze. These beautiful floral designs won Zita the Editor’s Gold Design Award at the recent Brides The Show in London and rightly so because it’s a 21st Century floral fairytale. I’ll hand you over to Zita to tell you a little more…

“I chose to work almost entirely in white for this project since it offers versatility in all seasons. I actually mixed up the seasons a little with the design, because of my recent discovery of some very good quality faux flowers.”

“Using a measured quantity of these, including some (completely out of season!) blossom, mingled in with mostly fresh flowers I was able to create that feeling of magic that I always aspire to. It’s actually very hard to find really good artificial flowers so now I’m very happy to be able to offer this mix for the brides that we work with. It can actually help with their budget too.”

“I used the faux flowers to decorate the trees, the arch and mixed them into some of the arrangements. Almost everyone who visited the show found it a challenge to work out which were real and which weren’t which is just as it should be.”

I absolutely adore this light look and my goodness, how perfect would it be for a romantic wedding at any time of year? I love the finely scripted engraved Perspex discs that hang from a tree laden with cherry blossom, hydrangea and ammi – what a perfect seating plan!

The full length table runner full of fresh and faux cow parsley, ammi, gladioli, dahlia, stocks, rice flower, astilbe, gypsophilia and eustoma creates the most gorgeous top table and I love the finishing touches of antique crystal and fine silverware.

In the foreground, you’ll see the large pedestal vase, overflowing with faux cream hydrangeas, Avalanche white roses (swoon!), asparagus fern, stocks, campanula, agapanthus, delphinium, gysophilia and some of my floral faves, dahlias. Pedestal arrangements are such showstoppers and this one is absolutely fantastic.

Zita’s dreamy wedding design was completed by a couple of bouquets, one in palest pink cyclamen with cotoneaster foliage and the other in softest white ammi with baby’s breath. Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium created the elegant and romantic six-tier petal shaped wedding cake that was dressed with fresh flower by Zita herself.

You can always rely on Zita to create something imaginative and ahead of the game,” says BRIDES Editor, Jade Beer. “But this year, at Brides The Show, I felt she topped all expectations with an installation that was so full of ideas for brides to be who clearly loved what they were seeing.”

And when floral design is this beautiful, there’s a lot to love.
