I am thrilled beyond words that the fantastic Rachel Simpson, designer of luxurious handmade wedding shoes and accessories, is showcasing her brand new designs here on Love My Dress. Without further ado, let’s all fall in love with the Star collection from Rachel Simpson…
Rachel Simpson handmade her first pair of wedding shoes for her sister in her garden shed whilst freelance designing for the likes of Next and Kurt Geiger. Fast-forward to 2016 and Rachel’s timeless designs are renowned for their amazing fit, beautiful style and affordable prices.
“Our shoes are well known for being so comfortable,” says Rachel. “We get a lot of feedback from brides who wear our shoes all through their big day without the need to slip into a pair of flats. Even brides who’ve never worn heels get in touch to say how comfortable they are. All our shoes are made using the finest leathers and suedes by skilled craftsmen and we’re also known for our iconic trend-setting styles and the way we use colour in our collection.”
Modern day princesses inspired the new Star collection and it’s perfect for brides who’d like to add a little lustre to their wedding day look in the most stylish way. The collection is also special as it’s limited edition with only 60 pairs handmade of each style being created and it’s the culmination of a very special collaboration with accessory designer, Laurel Lime.
“Star comprises of three shoes; a high and mid court and a T-bar design, and three accessories,” explains Rachel. “The shoes are crafted from a beautiful metallic silver suede and the trims have been created by Laurel Lime. The accessories; the Star bag, shoeclips and hairpins are perfect for mixing and matching with any of the designs from our Classic collection.”
And the shoes in the Star collection really do sparkle. Sienna sits on a classic 8.5cm stiletto heel with a softly rounded point for a truly elegant touch. Adorning the toe is a beautifully sparkling brooch style trim with three intertwined stars, handmade by Laurel Lime.
Savannah has a super wearable 6.5cm heel and that gorgeously soft silver metallic suede gives such a fabulous lustre to the shoe. Again, there’s a cluster of stars on the toe by Laurel Lime and this is a court shoe with real appeal.

Lastly, there’s the delicate peep-toe of Sofia with a dramatic 9cm heel. This design is going to be a real must-have for both classic and fashionistas. The back of the shoe has the instantly recognisable Rachel Simpson three petal motif and you just know that the T-bar design is going to elongate your legs to the most delightful proportions. The Laurel Lime star brooch is the most exquisite finishing touch.
All of the shoes look particularly stellar when teamed with the accessories from the Star collection. The coordinating Star bag is also made from silver metallic suede and features the Laurel Lime star brooch whilst the hairpins and shoeclips have also been designed by Laurel Lime to totally compliment the collection.
