Founded in 2015 by Sally Thomas, Tilly Thomas Lux is named in honour of someone very special indeed:
“Tilly Thomas Lux is named after my Grandma Thomas who was always wearing something beautiful in her hair,” explains Sally. “I had over 10 years experience designing and making jewellery for global brands but I decided it was time to focus on my passion for making luxury bespoke bridal headpieces – this is something I had always dreamed of.”

Following her passion, Sally started designing unique accessories for friends and as things progressed quickly, she took the plunge and turned her lifelong love into a dream business.
Tilly Thomas Lux has, as you might expect from the name, a complete focus on luxury. The beautiful bridal accessories, all handcrafted, are made using the finest materials including Swarovski crystals, silk tulle, butter-soft leather and exquisite ribbons. Working with London’s finest artisans, each piece is handcrafted and lovingly finished in Sally’s London studio.
“My signature style is modern with Deco-inspired elements and there’s a nod to nature and Old Hollywood glamour as well as references to my obsession with Greek mythology and powerful goddesses. I’m also a true sparkle obsessive and I always strive to make pieces that are elegant, truly timeless and always make you feel amazing when worn.”
Sally takes inspiration for Tilly Thomas Lux from her childhood memories and life in the countryside. She describes herself as being ‘born a magpie’ and you can certainly see her love of sparkle in every piece. However, there’s a definite refinement to her work that completely embodies her Lux ethos.
I love the lines and design features of all Tilly Thomas Lux headpieces. They’re different and unique and I know that I would be thrilled to wear any of them. I really adore the headpieces that have a raised, heavily-decorated headband. Celestia so reminds me of gorgeous old-school aristocratic tiaras but it’s not over-the-top in any way and it looks achingly amazing with a veil. Luna is a real statement headpiece and I have to say that designs such as Athena, Phoenix and Merle also make my list of favourites.
