Well yippee, it’s the weekend and a non-January weekend at that! Definitely worthy of celebration I would say so whatever you’re doing over the next few days, I hope you have the best time. I’m here today to talk about one of my favourite things – stationery. Now I know I’m not alone in my passion for paper so I have no doubt that you’re going to love reading this feature as much as I’ve loved writing it. It’s an absolute pleasure to welcome Jack and Lorna from the wonderful wedding stationery company, E.Y.i. Love to talk about their designs and trends for the coming year.
If you’ve not yet met E.Y.i. Love, let me introduce you. Owned by husband and wife Jack and Lorna, E.Y.i. Love is a luxury stationery studio, which focuses on creating modern and memorable stationery for weddings and events. The company was born when they were planning their own wedding and wanted unique, stylish stationery, which reflected their love of design and high quality craftsmanship.
From that point, they’ve not looked back and E.Y.i. Love is definitely a name that you need to know. Lorna brings her background as a fashion designer to her work (she’s even worked for the legendary Italian fashion house Alberta Ferretti) and Jack’s experience as a qualified engineer means that he’s passionate about using innovative techniques alongside expert organisation.
I just love E.Y.i. Love’s wedding stationery. Their signature style, inspired by a love of foil blocking, puts such a fresh twist on traditional printing techniques that I just adore. Lorna and Jack are also obsessed (and no, I don’t think that’s too strong a word!) with sourcing the best materials on the market.
E.Y.i. Love has an eye on the latest styles and trends too and it’s so great to see such original and contemporary styling cues in their latest collection combined with lots of lovely details.
“Whilst our clean lines reflect modernity, our love of romance is also present throughout the new E.Y.i. Love collection,” explains Jack. “There’s a really interesting juxtaposition of soft styling and subtle colour palettes in our new designs and this is really exciting for 2017.”
“The mixture of minimalism with Hygge and metallic styling has also caught our eye,” says Lorna. “We’re such fond fans of texture and can’t wait to see whether new clients embrace these influences in their own weddings this year. For us, our blend of copper foils on rich black card against a marble backdrop, styled with frosted ivy, really epitomizes all the sparks that we’ve loved watching come together for 2017.”
It’s also great to see that you’re able to bring your own style and personality to your wedding stationery with E.Y.i. Love. The team love combining different colours and changing up fonts and designs so all I can say is – get in touch! Lorna and Jack say that they gain so much from collaborating with each and every couple and they LOVE meeting people who are as passionate about stationery as they are.
Let’s be honest, when wedding stationery is this good, it’s very easy to be passionate!
