‘Romantique’ by Claire Pettibone – The New 2018 Vineyard Collection

Good afternoon lovely ones – it’s a super busy time of year in the bridal fashion world – I fly back from Barcelona today, having spent the past week here for Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week and am looking forward to visiting London next month to view collections from our home-grown talented designer collective. Earlier this month, New York played host to it’s own bridal week, where many of the top designers chose to showcase their new collections. Our favourite designer Claire Pettibone has also been busy adding the finishing, beautiful touches to her ‘Romantique‘ collection. And today, I’m delighted to be able to share her latest designs with you.

“I’m often inspired by my brides and their gorgeous weddings. So many of my clients are married outdoors, whether in a barn, a forest, garden or winery, I just love a celebration set in nature. For this collection, as I do love a glass of wine, I imagined a beautiful wedding set in a vineyard. I always name my dresses, and it so happens that wine regions and varietals have such lovely names, so that was a fun part of putting this collection together. A few of my favourites are Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon and Shenandoah. I kept the dresses simple in terms of cut and colour, but each with some unique detail whether in the lace patterns, or neckline and sleeve details.”

Romantique is an entirely separately collection from Claire’s mainstream couture range, and offers more affordable gowns. The gowns are however as equally covetable and capture that gorgeous mix of bohemian glamour and whimsical elegance that Claire Pettibone is so well known for.

“We’re really looking forward to exhibiting our new collection to buyers at The White Gallery in May. I think this collection is so perfect for our English and European brides. We make all the dresses here in Los Angeles in our own atelier, and this season, we are working to move the deliveries up, as we are finding that with social media, our brides want the dresses as soon as they hit the runway! Boutiques and salons who order in May 2017, will start receiving dresses as early as late June, and into July. This means, we have the possibility of dressing some last-minute Fall/Autumn 2017 brides, and then of course into spring and summer of 2018. I’m so excited to share the collection with the Love My Dress community today, and can’t wait to see the next Romantique weddings appearing. These effortless and ethereal gowns are perfect for those brides who love a bohemian vibe – here are some of our faves from the collection, followed by a gallery of the full set of beautiful designs. Details of British stockists can be found at the end of this feature.
