Katya Katya Shehurina ‘Romance Defined’ – The 2018 Collection + Exclusive Free Gift Offer

Well hello again and I’m starting this feature with a virtual tooting of trumpets! Today, I have the huge pleasure of introducing you to the brand new 2017/2018 collection from Katya Katya Shehurina. It’s romantic, wild, organic and so incredibly beautiful, I might actually weep so let’s dally no more – it’s time to step into a world of feminine bridal beauty with Katya Katya Shehurina.

Now I’ve been in love with Katya Katya Shehurina for some time and I don’t care who knows it. I’ve had the pleasure of writing about Katya’s designs many times here on Love My Dress and we’ve also shared plenty of real weddings where brides have worn Shehurina gowns. These dresses are always elegant, alluring and just that bit different but the new collection lifts the signature Katya Katya Shehurina styling to a whole new level.

MM R04 Avery FrontThe Morning Mist collection takes inspiration from those beautiful moments where cool nights and warm days collide. Everything is fresh and new and that sense of things being delicate and precious is most definitely captured in these designs. The fine silk flowers and intricate hand embroideries add exquisite detailing to the signature laces that Katya is so well known for.

“All my collections usually start with pictures,” says Katya. “It’s very interesting to me how, from one single picture, a whole moodboard and then a whole collection can grow.”

“The new collection started from a picture of a girl running through a field. You can only see her back but you can almost feel the warm sun touching her skin and hear her happy laughter. A lot of my inspiration comes from what’s around me, the elements, wilderness, wild flowers, the elements and the contrast of colours. This collection remains routed in the beauty of nature and the feeling of pure happiness and freedom which comes from this.”

If we take a look at the collection in a little more detail, it’s actually really hard to decide where to start! Cyrene instantly caught my eye – it’s definitely a gown for modern, fun-loving brides. The fashion-forward tulle tiers create a layered skirt that’s just gorgeous and the detailed floral Italian lace is heaven. As I’m also a huge fan of hi-low skirts, Tamara is another gown I have to mention. I’m loving the silk skirt and the beautiful floral top too plus think of the options for shoes you’ll have here!

For fans of the iconic Katya Katya Shehurina look where pretty slips (in a range of new colours) show through light tulle dresses, there’s plenty to adore in this new collection. Mimosa, Harper, Symphony and Saffran are just some of the designs that are sure to become Shehurina classics and I love the fact that in some of the designs, there’s a little more volume in the skirts too.

However, if I had to pick two standout gowns from the collection, I’d have to choose Adele and Story. Adele is back by popular demand and it’s possibly the ultimate feminine, bohemian wedding dress. Story is one of the few silk tulle gowns in the Shehurina collection and the layering is just heaven. However, it’s the ethereal cape that accompanies the dress that makes it. It glides with your movement and manages to be both understated and attention grabbing at the same time.

If there’s one thing to me that makes Katya Katya Shehurina gowns so wonderful, it’s the fact that you can really make them your own. You can alternate coloured underslips during the day to create different looks for your ceremony and evening reception and with the new colours, there’s even more choice. I also love the new personalised Swarovski belts where you and your partner’s initials are hand embroidered onto these delightful keepsakes. Lastly, take a look at the waistbands of the dresses in the new collection and on certain designs, you’ll find the sweetest phrases…

It’s true to say that my love affair with Katya Katya Shehurina continues.
