In your opinion, what makes the perfect summer outfit? What are the absolute must-haves for summer?
“For this summer, we’re loving the bright coloured dress options in our 2018 Preview Collection! Green shades that are on trend with Pantone’s 2017 colour of the year, Greenery, are a solid bet, especially for outdoor affairs.”
“This summer, cocktail look must-haves would likely include unique backs, floral detailing, weightless skirts that go with the flow, practical side pockets, and clutches and hair accessories that complement your outfit.”
There’s so much to choose from in your new collection! What dresses would you pick out for a summer country wedding, a chic city affair and a classically formal wedding?
Good examples for a summer country wedding would be: Griega, Griselda and Gramoe. The pretty bodice of Griega and that thigh-high split make this a floaty yet feminine design.
Good examples for a chic city affair would be: Graf, Gramercy, Gremo and Granada. Gremo has a sophisticated fitted waistline and the jeweled neckline is just perfection.
Good examples for a classically formal wedding would be: Grata, Grecos, Grand and Grase. Grecos is the ultimate cocktail dress – it almost looks like it’s been painted on to you! Sequins, a one-shouldered bodice and a high leg split really show off your figure.
Do you have any advice for anyone choosing a special summer outfit?
“Wear what you feel comfortable and beautiful in – as long as you’re comfortable, you’ll be sure to enjoy the festivities and are more much likely to feel like the best version of yourself.”
The British weather is notoriously unreliable in summer – how would you suggest we adapt out outfits for super-hot, cool or rainy days?
“Dresses like Griega or Green that have high slits in the skirt allow for you to stay cool if it does turn out to be a very warm day/night. Whereas our sequinned evening gowns might be better for cooler weather as the fabric breathes less and is a heavier, sturdier option than say an airy tulle frock!”
What makes the Cocktail Collection so special?
“The secret of this collection lies in the meticulous composition of shapes, materials and fabrics, which manage to create a unique delicateness. Glimmering sequin embroideries take centre stage, while the two-piece optical illusion is still present in many dresses; and the jewelled bodice combined with a skirt is one of the greatest designs of the season.
