Now I know that I’ve been living in the wedding world for a long time now but if there’s one thing that’s still guaranteed to make me smile and sigh with happiness, it’s a fabulous real wedding.
Today, we’re taking a look back at some beautiful real brides and showcasing their gorgeous wedding accessories that were all designed and made by our friends at Britten. This feature is pure indulgence. Before we start however, let me just introduce you to Britten and their wonderful bridal accessories.
From their workshop in the delightful Wiltshire town of Bradford on Avon, Britten design and make by hand the most delightful range of bridal hair accessories, jewellery, belts and super pretty veils. In fact, if you visit them, you can actually see their workshops and veil making space.
Of course, if you can’t make it to them for a personal appointment, you can shop online but I warn you now – their website is truly addictive!
And I know I’m not the only one who loves Britten because we’ve featured so many stunning brides wearing their Britten accessories right here on Love My Dress and, as you’ll see, every style of bride can be a Britten real bride!

Let’s start with Laurie who wore the Saria veil and Pearl Vine headband for her Somerset wedding. I absolutely love how these delicate accessories work so well with Laurie’s dreamy Belle & Bunty gown.

From a summer wedding in the country to a winter wedding in the city, let’s journey north of the border for Nicola and Craig’s Glasgow wedding. Nicola chose an elegant Britten veil for her wedding and she loved the handwritten note and scented candle that were also tucked inside the parcel for her when it arrived.

Sinead also chose a Britten veil for her on wedding and this classically elegant church-length drop veil was the perfect accessory for her Italian inspired marquee wedding. I adore the simplicity of the veil against the stunning lace sleeves on Sinead’s gown.

Amy and Jenny both selected Britten headpieces for their weddings. Jenny’s midsummer celebration in Glasgow and Amy’s winter wedding in Bath are certainly very different in style but their Britten headpieces complement their bridal looks perfectly. Jenny’s delicate hair vine was ideal for her relaxed wedding.

I’ve said recently that veils are definitely making a come back and more and more brides are wearing them for their weddings. I think what’s so great to see now is that veils come in so many shapes, styles and fabrics that there’s one that will work with your wedding and vision for your day.
If you take a look at this Hygge inspired wedding and this cool London wedding, you’ll see that the styles of wedding are wildly different but the Britten veils these brides chose complement their looks perfectly.

Now I’ve saved a couple of my favourite weddings until the end and again, Britten veils feature in these exceptional celebrations. I have all the love for Anna and Andrew’s woodland inspired wedding and again, Anna’s diaphanous veil is the most exquisite finishing touch as it looks like it’s been made to work with her Jenny Packham gown.

Britten veils look divine just about anywhere and this rural Tuscan wedding proves that they also travel super well. Kate was a truly stunning bride Britten’s delicate Isabella veil looked amazing with her chiffon ballerina length skirt. Honestly, I swoon…
