Your Invitation To The Indie Wedding Fair – Manchester 25th February & Sheffield 29th April

Hello lovely readers and welcome to Monday! Can you believe we’re almost at the end of January already?I’m absolutely not complaining though because with this month behind us, I’m definitely emerging from winter hibernation and am looking forward to lots of springtime fun.

If you feel the same then I’ve got a couple of very special dates for your diary right here. Oh yes, The Indie Wedding Fair is back for 2018 so read on to find out all you need to know.

Firstly, let’s get those all-important dates confirmed shall we? The Indie Wedding Fair hits Manchester on Sunday 25th February at Five Four Studios before moving to Sheffield on Sunday 29th April when you’ll find the doors open at 92 Burton Road.

IWF Manchester and IWF Sheffield offer a curated collection of absolutely awesome indie wedding suppliers, music and street food. IWF Manchester takes place in an incredible studio space just a stone’s throw from central Manchester. IWF Sheffield is at super cool venue, 92 Burton Road, Kelham Island, in the heart of gritty, industrial Sheffield.

So, now you know the basics, it’s time for me to tell you more about this fantastic event.

The Indie Wedding Fair sets out to fly the flag for original, innovative and creative independents within the wedding industry. Organiser Ellie handpicks suppliers who are all about making weddings less prescriptive, more imaginative, more about the couple and less about tradition. In short, this is all about connecting cool couples to cool vendors.

I also love the fact that Ellie really wants to support the most excellent indies and small businesses out there. She’s all about promoting local economies and loves to introduce new creative talents to couples and showcases them alongside some of the most respected talents in the industry.

However, the best (and most important) thing about The Indie Wedding Fair is the atmosphere. It’s such a welcoming and friendly environment to be in and you can just tell that it’s a lovingly curated event rather than super commercial or traditional wedding fair.

If you’re overwhelmed by anything on the day, it will be the talent and passion of the creative wedding pros themselves. You’ll be able to meet everyone from photographers, florists, stationers and jewelers to super cool bakers, designers and purveyors of the best props, details and accessories around. It’s more than a little bit awe-inspiring.

As Ellie says, there’s not a whiff of a chair cover or an organza bow in sight. Instead, the space is transformed, suppliers want to chat and everyone just has a brilliant time. Good vibes come easy with street food and tunes aplenty – this is no bog standard wedding fair.

If you’re an early bird and register your attendance NOW, you’ll receive free entry. Alternatively, go VIP for £7 per ticket, which includes a glass of prosecco and a superb goody bag. Early bird tickets won’t be available for much longer so bag yours now. Of course, you can pay on the door, for a mere £2, capacity at the venues permitting.
