I’m absolutely thrilled about this and hope you will be too. I have a personal soft-spot for Sanyukta – she’s the kindest, sweetest individual and her commitment to supporting silk making communities in Nepal is inspiring. You really have to touch and feel her gowns to believe how unbelievably beautiful her soft, 100% organic silk fibre really is. Also, opportunities like this don’t come by often, and so we urge you to seriously consider taking the (very brief) time it will take to enter (there’s a form at the very end and we’ve made it super easy for you to enter).

I’m keen to reintroduce our new readers to Sanyukta and her elegant world…

How did your business come about?

From a very young age I started sketching and putting my creativity to work. I had passion and determination to be in the creative sector of the world. At 17 I created the dress Miss Nepal wore in the 1998 Miss World pageant, this truly was where my career began. This combined with being awarded as the best designer in the country on the same year was a big milestone for my journey as a fashion designer. I then went on to design my first ever wedding dress for my sister in 1999 which was where I fell in love with the bridal industry.

In 2011 I opened up my boutique in Fulham where I now make a brides dream into a reality.

How would you describe your signature style?

I would say that my signature style is the influence of romance entwined with a vintage touch to create a timeless gown. Each dress is grounded in elegance, yet also has a subtle sense of self-indulgence due to the luxurious nature of my gowns.

My dresses are all unique in their own ways, yet they all convey elegance, flattering the silhouette and provoking feelings of empowerment for the ladies wearing them. Each gown is designed with the core value of the brand in mind; beauty with a conscience.

What inspires your work?

Each bride’s unique love of fashion and simple yet individual style gives me great inspiration. In my collections I capture the dreams and stories that brides have shared with me over the years. I find my surroundings also inspire my work as I have been privileged enough to visit many amazing places on this beautiful earth.

What makes your designs special?

My dresses are made from natural and organic handmade fabrics such as hemp silk, organic cotton and bamboo. The fabrics used in my collections have skin nourishing, breathable and antibacterial properties which is perfect for a bride as comfort is key. A bride should enjoy her day without compromising comfort.
