Well hello again and I don’t know about you but I can’t believe we’re almost at the end of May. This year is absolutely flying by!

But today, let’s just put a stop to everything and take a little time out for something special. Over the last few years, wedding veils have enjoyed a bit of a renaissance. “I’ve always loved hand-sewing and creating,” explains Sian. “For my own wedding five years ago, I made many of the decorations and other items and once my wedding was over, I still found myself lingering over pictures of veils, silk flowers and dresses online.”

“I really didn’t want to say goodbye to the world of weddings. Pure silk flowers had really piqued my interest – I wanted to learn how to make them but most of the books were old and out of print. I happened to stumble upon one in a dusty old bookshop in Lewes one day and there began a fascination that led into making wedding veils to decorate with my silk flowers.”

From the moment that she made her first wedding veil, Sian fell in love. Her inspirations include the fields, woodlands and gardens in Kent where she spent her childhood, through to period dramas, fairy tales and ballet.

“Wedding veils are such a magical, precious item to make. Every veil is so special. I always feel honoured to be trusted to create such an important part of a bride’s attire.”

I love the dreamy, soft, romantic look of the veils in the Blossom and Bluebird collection. They have such a wonderful timeless feel coupled with a really unique look.
