A Monsoon Wedding Dress for a Beautiful, Pregnant Bride...

I have a few weddings to share with you over the next few weeks, where the Bride is looking extra radiant, because she is also expecting a baby, just like Abbie here.

The 'expectant Bride' is something that has a special place in my heart. I don't know, maybe it's because I gave birth to my own baby girl (my second Daughter) last September, as I was in the process of developing this Blog, and surrounded by all things wedding.  Maybe it's because I took part in this maternity 'vintage inspired' bridal photoshoot, whilst pregnant, along with two of my colleagues in the wedding industry, who were also pregnant at the same time?  Fact is, I just have a thing for a Bride with a beautiful bump.  And I have much inspiration for the pregnant Bride too; whilst it is an amazing experience, being pregnant is also hard work, and there are days that the idea of donning a frock so that everyone can look at how beautiful you are [all day long!}, would probably send you running for the hills.  It takes courage for a pregnant lady to step into a wedding gown but Abbie looks so beautiful in these photographs, she makes it look effortless :)

Abbie's lovely wedding dress was actually from Monsoon - who offer a beautiful selection of high-street, affordable wedding dresses (their most expensive being c.£250)...

Abbie married Rob on 5 February 2011 at Old Marylebone Town Hall, and these delightful images were captured by London Photographers McKinley Rodgers {who I'm so looking forward to meeting in a couple of weeks time}.  I do so love the vintage vibe of these images...

A Jesus Peiro Wedding Gown for an Elegant London Bride...

Hi everyone :)

I've a beautiful set of photographs to share with you this afternoon that tick ALL the boxes when it comes to the checklist for a 'Love My Dress wedding'; understated chic? Check.  Elegant? Check.  A touch of the 'vintage inspired'? Check!

This is the wedding of Robin and Caroline, who celebrated their nuptials on 5 March this year with ceremony at The Swedish Church, Marylebone, followed by a reception at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), London, chosen by the couple of it's central London location, elegant spaces and art deco details.

The dress code was black tie and Caroline wore a Jesus Peiro gown from Morgan Davies Bridal - this is the first time a Jesus Peiro gown has made an appearance on Love My Dress and I'm extra delighted by that...

"I chose the dress for it’s clean lines and dramatic train, which looks as good down as bustled up. I also wanted a dress with a higher neckline and loved the weight of the silk mikado fabric..."

A 1950's Lace Vintage Wedding Dress for a London Bride...

Hi everyone :)

I receive lots and lots weddings to feature on Love My Dress, that between them, represent very different styles of wedding photography.  I am particularly drawn to this style of photography by London documentary wedding photographer and wedding photojournalist, Mark Carey.  No formal group shots here you notice?  All the images are captured naturally with no formal poses and I love how these images tell a story and how the couple are captured on camera looking so natural.

This is the wedding of Chloe and Sam, who tied the knot on 16 October with a ceremony at St Leonard's Church in Shoreditch, London, followed by a reception at Shoreditch Town Hall, and an evening party at Cantaloupe Bar on Charlotte Road, also Shoreditch.

Aside from the beautiful, natural style photography, I also love the Bride's dress, a gorgeous original vintage 1950's style find from London's Fur Coat No Knickers...

"I knew that I was not a full length dress kind of gal. I wanted something vintage, fun and that made me feel special! A friend had discovered the shop and recommended it.

The moment I stepped in the shop I knew I would find my dress there. The girls previously worked in costume in the West end, were glam, kind, patient and ever so excited! Combined with a fantastic collection of vintage dreeses, it was perfect!"

Amanda Wakeley Bridal Elegance for a Poolside, French Villa Wedding...

Hi everyone, I hope this email finds you well, and that you are feeling rested and refreshed after your weekend :)  I'm really excited about the wedding I'm about to share with you.  Regular readers may recall that a couple of weeks back, I featured the most chic and elegant London Elopement, where the Bride wore Valentino.  It was the most beautifully intimate of wedding days (no guests) and London Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer, Dominique Bader recorded the whole day on camera in the most perfect way possible.  Photographer Dominique is someone I've had the very good fortune of becoming acquainted with over the past few weeks, and so it is with great pleasure {and huge privilege} this morning, that I am sharing Dominique's own wedding with you.

I do love it when the Wedding Photographer has her turn to become the Bride!

Dominique and Samuel tied the knot on 25 July 2009 and the stunning backdrop of Dominique's family villa in St. Paul de Vence in the South of France played venue for the day. 

So full of grace, elegance and understated glamour is this wonderful day, that I found myself smiling for pretty much all of the time I spent preparing this feature.  It is being able to share such wonderful and inspirational photographs with you that make my role as a Wedding Blogger so very rewarding.

This beautifully styled wedding was planned to perfect by Marjoire at Aava Communication and Bride  Dominique wore an exquisite gown by Amanda Wakeley, that had effortless elegance written all over it...

Jenny Packham Wedding Dress Glamour for a Winter Wedding in Wirral...

Well, it's FRIDAY AFTERNOON - YAY! I know that many of you reading this will be winding down to the weekend now.  Maybe you're attending a wedding this weekend, or off out to look for 'the' dress of your dreams.  Whatever you're up to, I hope you have a lovely time :)

This afternoon's wedding is rather a glamorous one.  Or rather should I say, the Bride is rather glamorous indeed :)

Les and Charlotte tied the knot on 1 January 2011 at Thornton Manor, Thornton, Heswell, Wirral, a venue described by the couple as beautiful, with open fires and a real 'vintage' feel - perfect for a Winter wedding.

Charlotte wore the beautiful 'Alice' wedding dress by Jenny Packham - it is one I tried on myself before settling on an alternative Jenny Packham design...

"I loved the vintage feel, the fabric and beeding detail, wanted more of an evening gown as the wedding was black tie...."

A Temperley London Bride and her Riverstation Bristol Wedding...

Afternoon everyone :) I'm having a realy wedding dress love kind of day, which figures really doesn't it, given the blog title!? :)

Did you see the beautiful Belle & Bunty ivory wedding dresses I featured earlier this morning? These dresses are so new they're not even on the Belle & Bunty website yet. They are just beautiful, I adore them all.  And I also adore the dress in this afternoon's real wedding feature. It's a real beauty.

Angie and James tied the knot on 7 August last year at The Riverstation, on the harbourside in Bristol and I must mention now that these beautiful photographs were kindly provided by the Award Winning Devon Wedding Photographer, Rosie Parsons - thank you so much Rosie.

Angie wears the 'Long Jean dress by Temperley London Bridal', which she purchased from The Mews, a small bridal boutique in Clifton.  I first featured Temperley London Bridal on Love My Dress back in December 2009 and I've been smitten ever since....

"I loved the 1940s vintage feel of the Long Jean, and the fact that it looked like no other wedding dress I have ever seen. I actually wasn't looking for a wedding dress at all, and had gone to the Temperley shop in London to look at other types of dress.

There happened to be a cancellation for their bridal section at that time, and the shop assistant kindly allowed us to take the appointment at the last minute.  The first time I tried the dress on my sister and mum cried, so we figured we may have found the right one!

The dress really was the starting point, I had fallen in love with it and everything followed on as a vintage style with a very modern twist..."

A City-Chic London Wedding at The Lansdowne...

Morning all :) Have you entered the latest competitions on Love My dress yet - there's a beautiful, bespoke, sparkly bridal headpiece and a bottle of 'Oscar' perfume, by Oscar de la Renta up for grabs!

This morning I'd like to share one of those city-chic style London weddings that I just adore, and I love this particular wedding, for Bride Jane's elegant style, but also for her choice of Bridesmaids outfits. How glamorous do her girls look in their green wiggle dresses, little feather headbands, cute elbow length satin black gloves and faux-fur capes? I Luuuurrrvve!!

Jane and Kirk tied the knot on 4 December 2010, with a ceremony at The Grosvenor Chapel in Mayfair, London, followed by a reception at The Lansdowne Club in Fitzmaurice Place, Mayfair.

Jane's wedding dress was 'Cognac' by Augusta Jones from House of Fraser Bridal Rooms...

"I wanted something 'city-chic', and the simplicity and slinky elegance of my dress made it perfect for a London wedding.

Our wedding style was inspired by a few different themes - Winter, shooting, City chic and of course the Scottish connection. Happily I found a duck feather shrug to wear with my dress (in Angelica Bridal in Islington) that managed to reflect three of those styles. It was also perfect for a bit of warmth (although not much!)"

Purple Heels, Pretty Flowergirls and the Perfect Proposal...

It is not often that I find myself looking back over, and over, and over a set of photographs that have been submitted to Love My Dress.  Don't get me wrong, I adore ALL the weddings I feature on my beloved little wedding blog, but some weddings, well, some weddings just kind of 'get me right there'.  In an emotional way. 

A fine and talented Photographer will know just how to capture the emotion of the wedding day and translate that emotion into a beautiful story via his photographs.  To me, this set of photographs tells a beautiful and romantic story.  The smiles, the very obvious deep love between the Bride and Groom - those little flower girls (talk about making my heart melt!), the whole glamorous and yet unpretentious nature of this wedding.  Everything about this day makes me smile and feel SO happy to be in the privileged position of writing this wedding blog :)

These absolutely beautiful photographs were taken by Ed Peers.  And frankly, today I feel like celebrating Ed as one of THE best Photographers in the UK today.

'What do I know?'  Well, a little bit, I'd hope, seeing I spend most of my time eyes glued on wedding photographs - living and breathing all things wedding! :)

Matthew and Miri tied the knot on 13 September 2010 at "The Inn On The Lake" in Goldalming Surrey...

"We could not of had a better photographer. The quality of Ed's work is truly amazing. We were so stunned to see how well he captured all our most cherished moments. He also personally found near by scenic locations making our private photo's better than we could ever have possibly imagined.

He did not miss a moment and every time we look at our photo's we relive the day. Everybody that sees our photos says "they're the best they have ever seen" so I would highly recommand Ed to everyone and anyone!"
