Morning all ;) Thanks for checking in to Love My Dress this morning. Did you see this dreamy mother and child inspired set of images and bridal headpieces from Jannie Baltzer that I posted late yesterday afternoon?

I've a lovely little September wedding to share with you with an interesting colour scheme I don't often see on wedding days!

Greg and Caroline tied the knot on 16th September at Alpheton Hall Barns, Alpheton, Suffolk, and Caroline wore a fab 50's inspired full-circle sensation from Candy Anthony with a deep chocolate brown petticoat. I love her colour choice...

"I wanted something a bit different and loved the idea of a 50’s style dress with a petticoat and also we wanted a Vintage themed wedding and Candy Anthony fitted the bill perfectly.

I chose Oyster for the dress, sash and veil and Chocolate brown for the petticoat. I loved the fact that i had all the say in the colour scheme and the choice of colours and texture was vast. I also felt at ease with the girls in the shop as they were very honest and friendly in helping me make my decision...."

"I wore Emmy bespoke wedding shoes in soft brown suede. They were very comfortable and I loved that I was able to choose the style, colour, fabric and jewels. Emmy and her team were very accommodating..."

Greg wore a bespoke chocolate brown suit with shaded mystique pink lining from A Suit That Fits, a shirt and tie from Marc Wallace, vintage cufflinks from eBay and brown brogues from Office...

"I am a Visual Merchandiser, therefore attention to detail is a must. Once I had decided the style of the dress, the whole theme took off from there. I visited Love My Dress a lot when planning my wedding and also bought many wedding magazines.

We provided our guests with homemade Wonka Bars as favours, and then when all the favours where opened on cue, one lucky guest had a 'golden ticket' and won a bottle of champagne, which was great fun and really set the tea arty off, with a fun and informal feel to keep everyone entertained.

For the children we filled gold wedding party boxes with puzzles, colouring pads, sweets and other goodies in, keeping the children entertained..."

"Greg’s Mum made the cake. She has made many cakes for family and friends as a hobby, but she is far better than that and we have told her many times that she should do it as a profession.We have kept the top tier of the cake and we are framing all the handmade roses from Mum’s cake in a deep fill frame to preserve them and enjoy..."

Hello all, It's Michelle here once again with a little Friday inspiration to ease you into the weekend. I hope you have all had a fabulous week, and not been blown away in these horrid gales we've had up and down the country.

Autumn is well and truly upon us (boo, hiss!), so today's mood boards are inspired by both the season and the current fashion trend for all things Heritage. Obviously I'm not saying you should slavishly follow fashion trends for your wedding day, I just take inspiration from what is happening around me at any given time and right now the shops are full of tweed, fair isle knits and fur trimmings, what's not to love?.

The Heritage style, influenced by the Great British countryside, is one of this Autumn/Winters key styles which I think translates so well to a perfectly-elegant wedding style. Think lady of the manor, rambling country estates and equestrian pursuits.

I also adore how the concoction of heavy tweed, classic knitwear and delicate silks works so well together, throw in a few feathers and some rustic twine and you have yourselves the perfect mix of textures.

Heritage dressing is of course more than just the latest fashion trend, it's also an important move back to British made design, which is why I have chosen the Queen of British brands, Vivienne Westwood, to take centre stage in the Heritage lookbook. She is of course well know for using tweed in her designs, however the chosen dress is more in keeping with the traditional bridal style, albeit one with a very unique look.

The Lovelock taffeta gown, £910 from The Outnet, is from Vivienne Westwood's Gold label with asymmetric draping and an internal corset. A dramatic design that I would love to see with a chunky knit shrug slung over the shoulders and if you're really daring a pair of gorgeous riding-style heeled boots peeping out from underneath.

The look for the boys is all about the tweed suit, like this one from HE by Mango, layered over a waistcoat and of course a pair of brogues. A buttonhole made from soft feathers would be the perfect finishing touch.

For the maids I have chosen a sleeveless tweed dress, £70 from Oasis, with nipped in waist leading to a 50's inspired flared skirt. A perfect accompaniment and one that can be dressed up with killer heels and a fur shrug, or dressed down ~ again with a chunky knitted cardigan and flat brogues.

This style calls for a crumbling stately home as it's setting, and as this will be grandiose in itself the details can remain quite delicate and subtle. With small touches of tweed here and there from the invitations to the napkins ~ all wrapped up with twine, to rustic flower arrangements and centrepieces of feathers dressed with moss, held inside glass cloches for that little twist of eccentricity.

So that's my take on Country Classic style, taking this seasons Heritage trend as inspiration. Are you ready to take up your role as lady of the manor?
