Red for Romance ~ A Retro Style Picnic Engagement Shoot…

Afternoon people 🙂 It took me a little while to learn to love the whole 'e-shoot' {engagement photoshoot} concept, but I'm gradually coming round and have a collection of fabulous little shoots to share with you over the coming weeks.

This little beauty celebrates the engagement of Cara and Steven, at The Larmer Tree Gardens in Wiltshire.  And very curious I am too, to know more about this venue having seen it through these images.

The shoot was styled by Photographer Lisa Dawn and Cara herself.  Lisa Dawn is a lady with muchos style and panache – her own beautiful wedding featured on Love My Dress last year and she has had her work featured on Love My Dress several times since.

"As soon as I met Cara & Steven I could see they were a stylish couple.  We decided to do a retro themed shoot after Cara had told me about her collection of cake stands and vintage crockery.  Cara & Steven were getting married in The Larmer Tree Gardens, so a picnic seemed perfect for the location…"

Cara told me a little bit more about the proposal…

"Steven proposed to me on the beach at sunset following a romantic meal in Swanage.  When we got back to the caravan site where we were staying we had to climb in through a window!  We woke my parents up to tell them straight away"
