"Make decisions together, your wedding day is the
start of your new life as a partnership…"
I wanted to make my final wedding of 2011 fun and colourful and of all the weddings I have to be blogged yet (you are in for some treats in January!), this one of Steven and Cara's stood out a little. Eagle eyed readers may recall their red and retro style engagement shoot with Photographer Lisa Dawn. I just LOVE the pink-ness of this wedding! Pink proved to be the most popular colour to feature on Love My Dress this year – take a look here and see what I mean 🙂
Steven & Cara tied the knot on 23 June this year at The Larmer Tree Gardens in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Cara wore a statement making, fully sequined gown in ivory, called 'Monroe', by designer Katerine Scola Monroe – a purchase from Berketex Bride. Cara wore a mini dress for the evening reception, a purchase from La Boutique in Brentwood, Essex…
"I tried on so many dresses and each time I was so disheartened because none of them felt right or had the wow factor for me. When I saw my Monroe dress sparkling on the rails I knew it was the one!"

Talk about how to arrive in style…
"We had a 1955 pink Cadillac two door coupe that we hired from Superwed…"
"We chose our venue, The Larmer Tree Gardens in Salisbury, because it was so unique to anything we had seen previously. A beautiful, picturesque, stunning outdoor venue.
"Before we found our venue we had already imagined having an English outdoor tea party so when we found the Larmer Tree Gardens a Victorian pleasure garden this gave us the oortunity to go all out on our theme. I had great joy sourcing vintage china and cutlery. At the time of planning our wedding Alice in Wonderland was quite a popular theme and we loved the idea that our venue had the quirkiness of peacocks and space hoppers! Our theme really developed out of our venue. Once again the Hotel Grosvenor where we stayed was too very unique so allowed us to carry this theme on through the evening recetion…"
"Everyone received glass sweet jars filled with our favourite sweets – mini eggs, pink shrimp and dolly mixtures with labels “sweets from the sweethearts” and vintage ditsy floral fabric found in charity shops. Also, our lace cards were ersonalised luggage sytylen tags. Our suppliers were Vintage Twee, Hobbycraft and Etsy…"

Isn't this all so much fun! I LOVE pink weddings. Congratulations Cara and Steven and huge thanks to you and Lisa Dawn for helping make my blog look beautiful today 🙂
"Lisa is an amazing photographer, she really understood our vision and captured it perfectly. Having our engagement photo shoot with Lisa and Scott really broke the ice and we got to know each other better so on the day we felt relaxed. Also Lisa kept in touch with me the 6 months prior to our wedding so she knew all about the little details we had planned. This meant she was always one step ahead!"
