In a shoot that offers a very different style from the one I featured this morning, this afternoon’s set of lovely images comes to you from Scotland, and the very beautiful House for an Art Lover, a fascinating Art Nouveau building with a sublime interior created by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The main purpose of this shoot was to capture the new collection of hair accessories and jewellery aptly entitled ‘Glimmer’, on behalf of LHG Designs – think delicate gold chain headpieces, feminine cuffs, beautiful long rose gold pendants caressed blush dresses and intricate gold leaf embellishment.
Below, Audrey of Tandem Photo shares more about how and why these images came to life…
“House for an Art Lover is one of our favourite wedding venues to photograph and having the music room to ourselves for the afternoon was amazing. We wanted to highlight the simple elegance of the MacIntosh interiors against the intricacy and delicate nature of the pieces by LHG Designs.”

The bridal wear used in this shoot had to reflect the theme by being sleek and sophisticated. Our lovely models wore dresses from designers Belle & Bunty (Love My Dress favourites!), Otaduy, Elizabeth Stuart, Lara Hannah and Tobi Hannah (who’s fabulous new collection of short wedding dresses we blogged about recently), all loaned from Unbridaled Boutique in Ayr.
“Unbridaled owner Emily has an eye for something a bit different and her selection of dresses would make any bride or photographer’s heart sing. The right shoes complete the look and we were delighted to have the chance to bring Charlotte Mills Bridal** shoes to Scotland for the first time.”
**Readers, we are also delighted to have been asked to blog the Charlotte Mills Bridal debut collection of wedding shoes on Love My Dress recently, see here!
Emma Motion Make Up created three distinct looks for make-up. These included classic bridal with gold and bronze smoky eyes, natural and vintage 1920’s. I’m a total sucker for beautiful bold red lips so particularly adore the classicly elegant make-over below.
Audrey of Tandem Photo tells us more…
“Venue dressing included breathtaking illuminated letters from I Love Letters – we really did gasp when we saw how beautiful these looked. We set up a sweetheart table in the beautiful Oval Room and adorned it with Mackintosh inspired stationery and favours from Sixpenny Blue. While Narcissus Wedding flowers by Susan created arrangements that set the scene. No shoot would be complete without the cake! Fairy Dust Celebrations provided delicious cake inspiration for us to drool over.”
Huge thanks to Tandem Photo for sharing these images, that I have have inspired some of you today.
