A Romantic Italian Castle Elopement

We feature many destination weddings on Love My Dress, but by far the most popular of these destinations, is Italy.

It comes as little surprise to me as why. Having holidayed in the Tuscan hillsides last year, I can well understand what draws so many couples to this beautiful country to tie the knot. The landscape, the food, the friendly locals, the magical sunsets, the warmth and collective romance of it all. This set of images was set in by Italian wedding celebrant, Diane Rossi of Blessings From Italy, whose is a member of our Little Book Wedding Directory, and whose words are below…

“International wedding photographer Jules Bower captured elegant images reminiscent of a classic Italian fable complete with Princess Bride.”

“Centre stage was the model’s bridal dress, lovingly created using lace for the bodice with a vual skirt, which added a touch of class to this stunning creation by Francesca Piccini.”“The final accompaniment just had to be pearls and the gorgeous pieces featured were provided by Baleani Alta Gioielleria, from Emilia Romagna.”

“The Bride’s look was created by professional Hair and Make-Up Artist, Cherie Spisso who created natural smokey looking eyes using earthy tones. Cherie used a gorgeous mixture of gold and bronze, accentuating with lashes and mascara. Her goal was to reveal the model’s flawless skin with natural transparency, using highlight and shadow to contour bone structure and enhance her fine facial features.”

“Since the models were obviously not a real couple we needed to elicit an emotional vibe and so a ceremony befitting a real wedding was conducted by Giuseppe Rossi of Blessings From Italy, who worked his magic surrounded by the enthusiastic team.”

“Floral artistry was provided by Roberto Wedding Florist who concentrated upon delicate arrangements of ruby tones, and hues of delicate pinks and creams to subtle and pretty effect.”

“Decor and table settings provided by Preludio Noleggio complemented the flowers perfectly for this historic wedding elopement. Antiques and whimsical touches in porcelain and ceramic were provided by a fascinating Antique’s Emporium shop in Perugia Le Cose Diieri(literally meaning ‘the things of yesterday’.) Ruby roses were chosen for the invitations and menus designed by Sofi Rocchetti.”

“As night descended candles evoked an almost gothic atmosphere. The image of the couple with the shadowy castle in the background is incredibly effective.”
