Introducing In Awe Weddings & Events, A New Little Book Wedding Directory Member

ELT HP 180820 128

This week has been crazy – there is much we’ve been doing behind the scenes via our dual role as campaigners and lobbyists to ensure our community of readers and wedding suppliers/venues and in fact the entire wedding sector, is supported through the What About Weddings campaign.

Talking of which, our campaign team member Jessie Westwood was on BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour today – you can listen to the segment here over on the @whataboutweddingsofficial IGTV. Jessie was invited on the show to talk bout the impact the Covid19 pandemic has had on women in the wedding sector.

Talking of which, I wish to introduce you to a lovely new woman in the wedding sector and new to our Little Book Wedding Directory this evening – the very lovely Emily Stutchbury of In Awe Weddings & Events.

It’s a pleasure to welcome Emily into our family of recommended suppliers by sharing these images with you.

If you are located in the East Midlands and seeking the support of a professional planner and event stylist to help you navigate your way through planning in a pandemic, or simply looking for support in planning wedding a little further afield from now, then we’d love to recommend Emily to you, whose words follow…

“Inspired by the reality that anyone getting married this year really does feel like their wedding is nothing short of a fairy tale and that intimate weddings are currently the future, we styled this luxury wedding editorial with a hint of contemporary glamour, whilst showcasing ‘princess’ as daring, regal and in love.”

“The editorial design influenced by Hodsock Priory’s grandeur was adorned in delicate florals and accented in deep mulberry tones, to ensure all styling elements could be malleable throughout autumn and spring.”

Hodsock Priory is a country house steeped in history and set amongst 800 acres of rolling British countryside. We wanted to embody a beautiful mix of tradition and modernity throughout the shoot, such as by incorporating the shape of a classic candelabra but building them with contemporary Scandi candle holders by Stoff Nagel we gave the other traditional décor an edge.”

“Our fashion-forward bridal wear was from Cherie By Oui’s brand new collection (this being the first time the Cupid dress has ever been shot since being released). When accessorised with Charlotte Mills shoes, a Botias veil, Halo & Co’s statement handmade jewelled headpieces, and Temprell Jewellers bespoke diamonds, we gave our bride a look of showstopping glamour.”

“This was all brought together by Ruby J Beauty‘s dewy and dramatic makeup (it was a real treat to have her on board for on her first working day since lockdown!) along with the renowned Alison Jenner’s hairstyling.”

“Our colour pallet was predominantly cream, amber and champagne and was brought to life by Gigil & Bloom’s florals. A hint of mulberry detail deepened the texture with the thoughtful bespoke stationery by Dove & Lace. It felt really important to use a colour scheme that brides could easily transfer through the seasons with the threat of postponement still looming.”

“Flowers are such an important element to any of our style concepts and there is always room for an abundance of blooms.”

“As we are all about underpinning sublime style and meticulous organisation, with industry-leading entertainment, exceptional catering, and innovative ideas, this editorial was no different.”

“Victoria Gray a mezzo-soprano formally part of the operatic quartet Amore serenaded our couple whilst sipping on their signature cocktail at reception drinks in Hodsock Priory’s ‘Ante Room’.”

“During this shoot I pictured my couple relishing in their elegant celebration at Hodsock, exchanging vows in front of the lake surrounded by 30 of their closest friends and family, then roaming the beautiful gardens before enjoying an intimate candlelit meal.”
