A Summer Wedding at Prestwold Hall for a Made With Love Bride

I can’t tell you what joy it brings me to write about weddings that are taking place in 2021. Weddings are back!

It is so, so special for friends and family to gather once again to celebrate love. I think you’re going to love today’s wedding, with its summery tones of white, rusts, golds and pale pink, as much as I do.  On 25 June 2021 Sophie and Reece married at Prestwold Hall, near Loughborough in Leicestershire.

Its elegant, historic interiors made a gorgeous setting for their ceremony whilst its grounds and the season inspired the couple to use the idea of a summer meadow as their styling focus point.

“We loved the elegance of the hall and the fabulous grounds, and the team were amazing. We were inspired by the hall’s elegance mixed with a summer meadow theme through the flowers.” 

The bride’s strappy sandals were from Sophia Webster and her scent was Jo Malone‘s Peony & Blush Suede.

Her fresh, dewy make-up was applied by Molly Turrell Hair & Make Up Artist, who also pulled her hair back into an elegant chignon.

The final touches were her pearl earrings from Monica Vinader and a gold bracelet from Oliver Bonas.

Sophie visited Warwickshire boutique Coco & Kate to try on ‘Rosey’ by Made With Love Bridal, a gown that she had seen online.

Its fitted bodice and open back shows off her figure perfectly and I love the sexy thigh-high split. Her full-length, embellished veil matched the detailing on the gown, too.

“Coco and Kate had lovely staff who helped me to find my wedding dress. They were very helpful and knew a lot about the styles they had there. I would definitely recommend them to other brides.”

“I had seen the dress on the Made With Love Bridal website and it was the one I had my eye on from the start. As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one. I loved my matching veil the most.”

The bridesmaids all wore embellished gowns in a soft rose gold, from ASOS, Monsoon and TFNC. The colour perfectly set off the hand-tied bouquets of summery cream and orange flowers.

They were put together by The Flower Plant.

The couple met through friends and Reece proposed during a birthday trip to London. 

“We were engaged for a year and a half. Our date was the date we had chosen to go with originally.”

“We had to follow Covid 19 safety procedures such as wearing masks inside. A first dance was allowed and the dancing was outside.”

Reece wore a three-piece blue suit from Marks & Spencer and waited for Sophie to walk up the aisle with her father as ‘At Last’ by Etta James played.

“My favourite part of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing Reece, and catching up with all my friends and family in the evening who I haven’t seen in a while because of Covid.”

After being declared husband and wife, there was plenty of time for the newly-weds to enjoy spending time with their loved ones in the beautiful gardens at Prestwold Hall.

After getting some newly-wed portrait shots with their photographer, Nathan Walker Photography, in the glasshouse, they headed back inside for a formal, sit down dinner.

The dinner was provided by Prestwold Hall and the couple made their favours themselves.

“We provided small boxes with guests’ names on that included a mini bottle of alcohol and some chocolates.”

The elegant, naked cake was from All The Good Stuff Bakery.

“We wanted quite a simple cake with matching flowers to our wedding bouquets.”

As Sophie mentioned, the dancing took outside in the magical setting of the courtyard. Their first dance was to ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ by Chris Stapleton, their favourite song.

Music for the evening party came from Guy Morris at Mojito Discotheques and the couple also entertained their guests with a Magic Mirror Photobooth from Funky Pictures.

“We had the best wedding day even with the restrictions we had to follow. It was still a perfect day and everyone truly enjoyed it! Don’t let the restrictions deter you as you will still have the best time.”

“Everyone told us that the day would fly by and to make sure that we take some time out for the both of us to have a chat and a catch up – there is so much going on and lots of people to talk to so you want to have that time together.”
