Located in breathtaking Welsh countryside, Big House On The Hill provides an exquisite, exclusive hire venue for stylish hen parties.

Located in the beautiful Welsh countryside, the house provides everything you could desire on a luxurious few days away with your closest friends and family.

Built in 1796, The Big House on the Hill is a loose translation of it’s Welsh name; ‘Plas Uchaf’ (literally ‘Highest Place’). Standing in an elevated unique position overlooking the Tanat Valley. The house has no near neighbours and beautiful gardens – so playing your favourite tunes and dancing in or outdoors at any time of day is very much encouraged!

Up a long sweeping private drive, the 4 acres of garden have spectacular views, a beautiful large lawn, seating area and when booked for exclusive use, a 6 seater hot tub and group outdoor dining area. We provide ethical toiletries, beautiful beds and beautiful details, delicious treats to suit all dietary requirements and outdoor delights. From the organic paints used on the walls, to natural linens and floor coverings – everything in the house is designed with your wellbeing and peaceful enjoyment at the heart of our concept.

There’s ample space to relax, with lots of space and cosy seating to enjoy the open fires with a good book, or enjoy the views. Two living rooms, a snug, large family kitchen and big dining room means plenty of space to unwind.

Throughout your stay you’ll probably keep noticing all the quirky details! we’ve used some stunning fabrics, antique furniture, and artwork from all over the world.

All of our rooms are completely different, in size and colour and form. We have 6 ensuite rooms, and an additional double room with dedicated bathroom over the hallway sleeping a maximum of 14. We can also accommodate an additional two infants under 2 years old in travel cots for no extra charge. In our 7 completely individual bedrooms you’ll find peace and space. We have everything you’ll need to relax – Hypnos mattresses, cosy throws, interesting artwork, piles of books and beautiful views.

If you don’t want to cook, we can organise a private chef to create delicious home cooked breakfasts using local produce, atmospheric candle lit evening meals, or simple sharing supper

We love it when the house is full of laughter, love and happy times. We’ve had some amazing hen party celebrations here and we’ve loved hosting them all.
