Whimsical and Romantic Scottish Castle Wedding Inspiration

Squeezing in a final treat for you today lovelies – a dreamy little photoshoot that was the brainchild of Glass Jar Photography and Be Eventful aka, Claire and Nikki, who had the idea for a Whimsical Scottish Heritage style wedding photoshoot.  These photos are so light and beautiful and what is there not to adore about a bride wearing a charming ivy crown headpiece and a tweed country jacket? It just works so elegantly, I love this look…

"We wanted to highlight some great local suppliers and locations to create some inspiration for couples looking for that magical look/feel with timeless touches, and to make their wedding day feel like it will last forever.  We also set out the elements of the green colours of Scotland (and Pantone's colour of the year) for the details and attire of the shoot."

The dresses in this photoshoot were created by up and coming Scottish bridal wear designer, Rowan Mackintosh of Rowanjoy – more from whom you can see here on Love My Dress , and whose own wedding I'll be sharing with you very soon.

A simple yet incredibly elegant floral crown – I love the use of the ivy and the fresh faced makeup with a soft blush and pink lip, it's such a beautiful look.
