An Oppulent and Elegant Wedding with a Touch of Thai…

Afternoon all? Just a quick reminder whilst I have your attention to hop on over to the Competitions pages as I have a couple of really super give-aways running right now {a full wedding photography package and a beautiful bridal headpiece}.

Now, I tend to veer away from the Princess style gown, I'm much more your floor sweeping, 1930's style slinky silk number, or a 50's full circle skirt or original vintage wedding dress kind of gal, but every now and then, beautiful Princess style gown catches my eye and reminds me how flattering a fit, how perfect a choice this is for some Brides, like lovely Bride Annette here.  So many little girls dream of getting married in dresses like this, all tulle and underskirts and big hoops to add that extra va-va-voom.

Annette's dress is a Benjamin Roberts design {a great choice for Brides who do not have a bottomless pit of a budget when it comes to their dress} and it was the perfect choice of gown for her wedding to Jim at the beautiful Halswell House in Goathurst, Somerset earlier this year.  What a stunning venue! I love the touches of Thailand that pepper these images too, including the gorgeous orchids that Annette chose to have as her bouquet.  Even the Bridesmaids dresses were made {by the Bride's Mother's own fair hands} with black Thai silk…

"We picked orchids as we had a lot of Thai elements to our day – the Florist made a truly unique and beautiful bouquet…."

Words of Wedded Wisdom…

"Use Wedding Blogs and magazines to get ideas, but personalise it to you as a couple, and then look for cheaper alternatives.

We made as much as we could ourselves using ebay / Vistaprint etc . The one thing I am really pleased that we did not compromise on was our photographs, I knw couples who have and have been dissapointed.

We had a wonderful day, everything was perfect, we had fun and decided not to get stressed about anyting that didnt go right. We also had an amazing group of friends in our bridal party which made everything so much more fun…"
