A Peggy Porschen Style Deliciously Sweet Love Shoot…

One of the most enjoyable experiences of mine from last year was spending a day with several of my my wedding industry heroines and fellow judging panel members for the 2012 UK Wedding Awards when we met to agree who, of each regional winner, should go through to win each main category. One of my heroines who I spent the say with was cake designer and maker extraordinaire, Peggy Porschen.

During an intense day of judging, we broke to have lunch, and it was then that Peggy told me that one of the Regional winners in the Photography category, London based photographer Marianne Taylor, had been to Peggy's cake parlour recently to take some gorgeous photographs of a soon-to-be-married couple, Amanda and Nick.  Peggy told me she would love to see the images on Love My Dress and so I've waved my magic wand a little and ta-daaaaa! Look what I came up with! 😉

I love the way Marianne has used the props at Peggy cake shop to style this shoot – and having tasted Peggy cakes several times before, I can confirm – they really are heavenly…

Bride to be Amanda says…

"Nick and I first met at school in Bristol, we dated for about 3 months when we were 15 but drifted apart when we left school. Nick moved to Oxford, I moved to Bath,  we remained friends but that was all it ever really was. We met up again a few years ago and so now 25 years after we first dated we are finally getting married!

Our engagement shoot was in London and there was only one place we could go as we are both huge fans of cake and I have an unhealthy obsession with Peggy Porschen and her amazing work…"

"Our wedding is at The Larmer Tree Gardens near Salisbury next year in August. We just fell in love with the venue when we saw it, it is full of everything we love, a fantastic open air stage which is perfect for live music (I spent many years as a vocalist in a band playing at similar venues in jazz festivals), stunning gardens and peacocks roaming freely around the place. What more could you ask for!"
