Bridal Inspiration Board #32 ~ Red Carpet Glamour Inspired By Angelina Jolie At The Golden Globes…

Morning lovelies 🙂 I just had to pull together some inspiration boards this week based around the forever elegant Angelina Jolie and that wonderful red carpet style she pulled off for the Golden Globe awards earlier this week. Talk about jaw-droppingly glamorous – in evey way!

Angelina's outfit was my favourite of the evening, and I love how the look she went for so beautifully loans itself to bridal too…

Make like Marilyn with bright red lips – red carpet glamour demands a red lippy!  I love love love red lipstick and believe there is a shade to suit everyone.  Of course, red carpet glamour also needs one fine pair of heels and if budget isn't toooo much of an issue, you could always plump for the shoe master himself, Christian Louboutin – just enough sparkle and that sexy signature red sole.

I cannot rave enough about the work of Lucia Silver, founder of The State of Grace – this is British bespoke bridal wear at it's very finest – and it's less expensive than you think! Commission a designer like Lucia to come up with a slinky floor sweeping wedding gown worthy of the red carpet.  Bespoke means the dress will fit you utterly perfectly – it being made to measure of course.  It will be a unique one off creation like no other in the world.

Accessorising for your wedding day is lots of fun – add a red clutch to complete your look like Angelina did – and keep your shoulders warm with a gorgeous ostrich feather cape, like this one by Sassi Holford

Ensure your bridesmaids look fabulous in a dress by twobirds Bridesmaid – with whom I have a competition running to win your bridesmaids dresses that ends at midnight tonight by the way! The dreses are so wonderfully versatile and can be worn in many different ways – something to suit every body shape and take care of any minor body hang-ups to.

I loved Angelina's bun for the Golden Globe awards.  Steal her style with your own elegant up do like the model in number 7 below.  Model no. 7 is also sporting a wonderful headpiece by Debbie Carlisle of DC Bouquets, who recently launched her debut headpiece collection – I love this particular design called Natalia, priced at £145…

Red carpet glamour favours the more luxurious style decor – but that certainly needn't mean expensive. A letter-press invitation like the one from Artcadia below will add an instant touch of luxury, and set the tone for your guests on the style of celebration to come.  I'm a bit obsessed with letter-press stationery.  And beautiful fonts.

I found the image in number 2 below via Style Me Pretty when searching for chandeliers – only I think this is a DIY job which I LOVE the idea of – create your own chandelier effect for a snip of the price by dangling crystal beads from the ceiling.

I love an all-white cake and this lace and 'couture lace' cake by Peggy Porschen is just perfect. Cannot tell you how much I adore Peggy Porschen cakes – they are baked to perfection and melt on the tongue.

Big flowers, like the ones below from the boys over at 'By Appointment Only Design', will help you add a sense of opulence and red carpet glamour and grandeur to your event, and a champagne tower will do the same too – and be lots of fun for your guests…
