Morning All, How many Downton Abbey fans do I have reading this page this morning? This styled bridal shoot was the idea of Gill Field, wedding planner at Bride & Beau. Gill describes herself as a 'hopeless romantic' and her idea to create a 'Downton Abbey inspired shoot certainly conjured up images of elegance and romance!
Gill chose to work with photographer Juliet McKee in crafting these images and it is with Juliet I caught up with last week to discuss this project. Imagine if you will, that Matthew Crawley is to marry Lady Mary. Lady Mary is in such a quandary, so much to do, so much to plan! Where should she start?! Well our talented team have been terribly kind and put together a little bit of inspiration to help her plan the perfect day….

"We didn't have the fictional Downton Abbey, AKA Highclere Castle for our shoot, but we did have the beautiful Farnham Castle which provided us with a fabulous backdrop. Real brides can also choose to hold their nuptials at the venue and exclusive hire of the castle includes use of the Great hall, Stone Hall, Minstrels' Gallery, Sir Ray Tindle Bar and 5 acres of lawn and cultivated gardens.
Husband and wife team Martin and Clare Pinkney really managed to achieve some stylish hair and makeup. Clare's makeup for our model Chloe in particular, had that classic luscious red lip look that never seems to go out of fashion. A timeless statement…"

"The flowers provided by Yolanda Roberta Flowers and which included Hyacinth, rose, ranunculus, carnation and elderberry, were so pretty and really brought the Great Hall to life.
In addition Roberta and her team created three separate bouquets that echoed the theme perfectly from the delicate Carnation and Rose posy with sprigs of Rosemary to the cascading bouquet of Carnation, Rose, Hyacinth and Elderberry and the addition of tiny ornate pearls."
"Jenny of Cloud 9 Bridal Wear provided us with a variety of beauties from the flowing Satin dress by White Rose to the cheeky 'Betty Boo', by Chanticleer. Flapper inspired Betty Boo is a six-tiered French laced dress.
It features a pearl and diamante broach that adds glamour and sparkle. If Lady Mary found that a little too daring for a women of her position, then perhaps one of our elegant, flowing lace dresses would be perfect."
I'd love to know if any of my readers will be incorporating any of these looks into their own wedding days?
Much love all,
Annabel
