Today it is our great pleasure to introduce you to wedding photographer Charlotte Razzell. This talented lady is based in Surrey, but willing to travel all over the UK and further afield to document your day.
Here's a brief insight into what makes her tick…
'There is nothing more special than getting to know a couple as they plan the most important day of their lives. I love chatting to my couples on their complimentary engagement shoot and hearing how their special day is carefully being pieced together. And I love love love being able to document the wedding day! Seeing the looks on family and friends' faces, capturing those moments forever and creating beautiful memories makes me so happy. It’s always special when a bride and groom stay in touch with me after the wedding as well, I’ve made some lovely friends.'
'Many years ago I was asked by a friend to photograph one of her colleague's weddings. I had never considered wedding photography before that point. As soon as I started reading up on wedding photography and looking through gorgeous wedding photos online I fell in love. I have never looked back.'
'When it comes to my work I am inspired most by the couples I am photographing. It is their hard work and effort that makes the day look and feel the way it does; it is my job to document that. I'm also inspired by the surrounding environment and the colours around me on that particular day. After all, photos are about creating memories of that snippet in time.'
'I like to shoot in a very natural way, so the story of the day is told in its truest form. For the most part, I stand back out of the way and photograph things as they happen while people are unaware that I'm there. However, I do like to spend around 20 minutes on the wedding day alone with the bride and groom capturing some special portraits.'
'Couples seem to really appreciate this time together away from everything, just enjoying each other's company. I like to shoot these photos very naturally again, but might offer a bit of guidance to get some fun and romantic shots too.'
