Lucy Ledger Introduces new Pastel Pretty and Rustic Inspired Wedding Stationery

One of the most highly rewarding aspects of running Love My Dress, is that I get to support so many other brilliant businesses in the wedding industry – businesses run by creative and hard working people who inspire me so very much. One of these people I refer to is the designer and illustrator Lucy Ledger.  Lucy has been around since the very early days of Love My Dress – it feels like we’ve grown our businesses together and it’s been a real pleasure to watch her establish her design studio and watch her brand grow.

Lucy got in touch recently to tell me about some of her latest designs that I know our readers will love – click on any of the images to be taken to the Lucy Ledger website to explore things more fully.  Lucy teamed up with the wonderful Anna of Swallows and Damsons to style these pretty images (that I hope you will be adding immediately to your Pinterest boards), and one of our favourite photographers Jess Petrie  took these photographs.

“I usually work to release a full collection of around 9 ranges annually at November time, to take the brand into the new year. However as the studio goes forward into it’s fifth year I wanted to change things up by keeping the collections that were selling so well and add to them with fresh new designs focusing on rustic materials, soft pastels and an abundance of florals to develop the brand further. Our focus and aim is to refine and curate an entire wedding collection made up of best sellers.”

“The Lucy Ledger brand has become distinctive in it’s style with instantly recognisable designs,  for this photoshoot however, I wanted someone with a fresh perspective to come in and interpret the brand. I had followed Anna Swallows and Damsons for a long time and been a huge fan. The thing I loved about her work is that she was a true artist – with a fine art background everything she creates is absolutely breathtaking. I knew she would be perfect to style the shoot.

I also wanted to find a photographer who understood me and my designs to work with as a long term partnership. Jess’s work is ethereal and totally beautiful, she also understood the importance of showcasing the product which was key for me.  In reaching out I feel I gave the brand and my own perspective as creative a renewed and exciting shift in focus and I was thrilled with the outcome of the shoot.”

“With the existing collections we wanted to expand our offering. So this month sees the launch of our ‘Off the Shelf’ ranges. From each of our collections we now have a variety of standard or DIY options – it means that brides and grooms can pick and choose items according to their budget whilst still getting the perfect design for their big day.

The off the shelf options include ‘Write it yourself’ Save the dates, invitations, and thank you cards, standard table numbers and place settings – all of these items have a lower price point than the personalised collection pieces and start from just £1.00.”
