Good afternoon everyone :) I hope it's a fairly well known fact that I love to support the up and coming designer (I am married to one so I know how difficult it can be at times to get your name out there and get your talent noticed!), and so today I take real pleasure in introducing you to a new name in the Bridal Design field – Sally Lacock.
Sally Lacock’s stunning new collection of vintage inspired wedding dresses would not look out of place on a film set for Gosford Park or The Great Gatsby. This is a whimsical, feminine and utterly romantic set of designs that have been created using gorgeous fluid silks and delicate French lace. Hand sewn silk flowers, glass buttons, and other exquisite detailing add the most beautiful finishing touches.
In antique tones that include ivory, mink, silver and gold, Sally's wedding dresses echo an age when dresses were individually cut and made to flatter a woman’s figure and personality down to the last dart and drape…
"My absolute love of dresses, particularly vintage and antique, and a passion for craftsmanship led me to create this collection. My aim is to create dresses in which a woman can feel completely natural and at ease so that their true personality can shine.
Although I have worked in fashion for a long time I wanted to work more directly with my customer on an individual basis. I consider creating something perfect for a woman to wear on her wedding day the ultimate honour."

I simply love the design above, with it's beautiful taupe French Lace, this is the 'Elsa' and it is also available in ivory.
Sally’s passion for sewing was ignited as a child when, she was given an antique Singer sewing machine – oh how I adore!!! My Grandpa used to sell these for a living, and I have always been obsessed with these machines and love how the All Saints Stores are now using them creatively in their window displays.
This, and a collection of intricate handmade lace inherited from a great aunt, imbued Sally with a lifelong love for making beautiful clothes using sumptuous materials and vintage treasures she finds along the way.
The 'Cate' design below…
After 20 years of designing and cutting dresses, working with many prestigious brands such as Jigsaw, Liberty, Margaret Howell and Betty Jackson. Sally decided that the time was right to apply her skills to her own collection – and, for her, there was only one direction to go in.
From arriving at her Dalston atelier (housed in a former Victorian clothing factory) for the first consultation, to receiving the finished product, having a dress made by Sally Lacock is the last word in handcrafted, carefully considered luxury.
Price Guide…
Made to order prices start from £1,480 and a bespoke service is also available.
'Elsa' again, from behind, such a beautiful dress…
This grecian inspired design, called 'Isadora' is just breathtaking…
The 'Rosie' design…
'Violet'…
…and finally, the 'Isadora' design. I love, love, love that old fashioned name. We almost named our new born baby girl Isadora!
Just so beautiful…
