Been dieing to tell you all about the fabulous duo that are Deborah and Debbie, who together form the quite fantabulous wedding related beauty service that is, Simply Lovely.
Life-long friends Deborah and Debbie joined business forces a couple of years ago, and in so doing, consolidated an impressive array of beautician skills that they now provide as part of a suite of services for the Bride to Be. They include 'The Nail Bar', 'Hair and Makeup', a Personal Shopping Trip service, and their absolutely marvellous 'Powder Puff' service. The Powder Puff Service involves a Make Up Artist being situated within the Cloakroom of your venue, in a costume of your choice, which can range from full 1940's Hollywood Glamour to Salon Uniform. This service is sophisticated and glamorous and ideally suited to a 1940's or 1950's themed wedding, or maybe a Prom evening. How much fun!
Simply Lovely are based in the North East of England, but will travel anywhere in the UK to attend to all your beauty and wedding pampering needs. I'm thrilled that I chose Simply Lovely to style my hair & make up on my own wedding day -and I can tell you from personal experience that the two girls are a complete hoot! From my pre-wedding hair & make up trial (which lasted a full morning – though the duo would have happily stayed all day, had it not been for my now Husband making an early return from work),they made a big impression. I was very quickly put at ease and felt that they listened properly to everything I told them in terms of what styles I liked, and how I wanted to pull off a 1930's vintage style look. They encouraged me to totally go for it with the Hollywood vintage glamour style bright red lipstick, finger curls in my hair – the works! If I wasn't sure about being able to pull off this look prior to my wedding day, the Simply Lovely girls did an amazing job at filling me with confidence…
The girls were so helpful in so many other ways too, from helping me to step in to my dress, to assisting the Bridesmaids in getting ready, and they were amazing with the four young children I had getting ready with me in the Bridal Suite – a God send infact!
I can''t recommend Simply Lovely highly enough and would urge any discerning Bride to Be on the hunt for a make-up service to drop them a line and obtain a quote – they are most certainly money well spent. I found them to be professional, extremely prompt and reliable and more importantly, funny and so easy to get along with too. A simply lovely couple of girls indeed!
