A Beautiful Blessing, for a Beautiful Bride After a Beautiful Long Romance…

A suite of beautiful wedding photographs just for you on this cold and dreary December evening…

This is Jenny and Ben, and they tied the knot after 14 years (my, that's a long love affair) on 30 August 2009, at the incredibly elegant boutique property Eshott Hall (recently voted one of the worlds top 100 wedding venues by readers of Bride Magazine) in Northumberland in the North East of England.  Their wonderful day was captured by Newcastle Upon Tyne and North East Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer, Katy Melling and I think you'll agree the photographs depict clearly the love these adoring couple have for one another.

Jenny and Ben married in an intimate civil ceremony in the Library, with just their families present, then followed with a Jewish Blessing in front of all their guests, on the beautiful lawn in the grounds, the aisle lined with pretty lanterns.

I think Jenny could possibly be the prettiest and most photogenic of Brides I have ever seen, what a simply gorgeous smile!

"Eshott was such a beautiful venue, I simply wanted to compliment and enhance what was already there.  I wanted it to be beautiful and elegant but with a bit of a kick and nothing too formal."

Jenny's Schuh shoes are tres chic with heels aplenty (I'm guessing they're a good 4 inches!) in sassy sling back style…

And a first glimpse of Jenny's absolutely stunning Lusan Mandongus gown…

"The colour palette was simple…green, cream and white, except for the Bridesmaids who were very cool in colourful one shoulder dresses from Zara, with fabulous bright bouquets to match".

I just adore this gorgeous, gorgeous engagement ring (click to enlarge), an antique, single freshwater pearl and diamonds 1930's Art Deco original from Berganza Antiques in Hatton Garden, London.

I love Jenny’s Lusan Mandongus gown.  It is refreshing to see a dress that so brilliantly mixes an elegant and graceful cut and use of fabric, with something a little more edgy and creative.

“It just combined everything I wanted. It was made of beautiful fabrics – lace and tulle, and so was very floaty and romantic but with the the fitted lace dress underneath and the empire line that dipped in to a cheeky bustle at the back it was a little bit saucy too! I almost went for a Jenny Packham but tried this on at the last minute just because I had time and I knew it was the one! I had never seen anything else like it. There is a picture of it on the Lusan Mandongus website (in the press section) which has a great description”.

"High Tea of Highgate provided pink, green and yellow cupcakes.  High Tea make cakes that not only taste wonderful, but look divine.  We served them half-way through the dancing, with cheese and biscuits.  Ben's parents brought them 300 miles from London to Northumberland and all the guests thought they were worth it!"

"The tables had clusters of roses and hydrangeas in different vases down the length of the two banqueting tables, as well as candelabras with cream candles tied with green ribbon.  Ben loves poker and so the 4 sides of the two long banqueting tables were each named after a playing card suit – Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds and Spades and each guest had their own playing card – we even found green packs of cards on the internet!"

So Beautiful…

"Ben and I have been together for over 14 years and already have a beautiful baby boy, Bruno, but really, the whole day was more amazing than we could ever have imagined.  It was incredible to have all of our most special people in one place.

The atmosphere was just so warm and full of love.  We wanted to give our guests many of whom had travelled a long way, a great party and just spoil them rotten with wonderful food, flowing champagne and a fabulous band – everyone agreed we succeeded!  It was a magical, truly romantic and we wouldn;t change a thing – definitely worth waiting for and I will treasure the memories forever."

Thank you so much Jenny, Ben and Photographer Katy for allowing me to grace my Blog with these truly beautiful photographs.

Much love,

Annabel xXx
