I'm delighted to be able to share this lovely set of wedding photographs with you. This beautiful Bride is Lorna and she got married on my Wedding Anniversary, 20th March 2010, to her now Husband Robert 🙂
Lorna and Robert chose Dissington Hall in Ponteland, Newcastle, as their wedding venue and their photographs were shot by my very own Wedding Photographer, the lovely Karen McGowran.

"I always
knew I wanted a fishtail dress and this dress was the first dress I
tried on and fell in love with it straight away. I choose the dress as I
didn't want plain white as I thought it drained me with being very fair
anyway. I loved the detailing on this dress and the vintage feel the
dress had. I have never seen a dress like it before and loved the idea
of having something a bit different and not traditional.
After choosing my dress and with it having a vintage look i decided to
stay with this look when it came to the choice of everything else. My
theme was all coordinated throughout the day through the flowers,
bridesmaids, favours and colour scheme…"

"I spent 6 months trying to order these shoes as I wanted flat ones and it was the week before that they eventually came back in stock."

Lorna's beautiful bracelet was actually a gift to her from her Husband to be, that she received on the morning of their wedding.
"It was from Mikey, as were my earrings, and it fitted in
brilliantly with my vintage look."

"I am not a
lover of flowers so when it came to my choice of flowers I knew i would
have Gerberas. I love the simplicity of them and they fitted into my
colour scheme brilliantly. My flowers were by Claire Young, from Wedding Flowers For You."
"I have to say I was very calm on the morning of the wedding. My little
girl Grace may who was 9 months was dressed in a beautiful ivory dress
and shoes she looked absolutely beautiful. Karen took an amazing photo
of Grace sitting on the sofa in our room, it’s the best photo I have
ever seen."
Robert's suit was from Walton's suit hire of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
"My bridesmaids done an excellent job and looked stunning."

decoration to match your choice of flowers for the day!
"I had brown and ivory voile around the stair case and on the front of
the top table…."
"My cake was made by a friend of mine, Gillian Sansom, and I choose
this cake to fit into my colour scheme of brown and ivory and the flower
scheme of gerberas. It was a chocolate sponge cake with a butter-cream
filling."
"It was an amazing day and I would not have changed anything. I
didn’t feel it was a traditional wedding and that both me and robert had
our own personal touches. Robert had been very nervous about his
speech but they were all excellent and my mother decided to speak after
my father and read a poem which she had wrote, which was brilliant."

believe that to be down to good company and excellent professional
people around me. I cannot say how over the moon i am with Karen
