Afternoon all 🙂 A nice little treat for your Tuesday lunch time on Love My Dress 🙂
Emma and Vincent tied the knot in Last Vegas, Nevada, on Friday 9th July 2010, followed by a wedding reception held at Aston Hall Hotel, Rotherham, on Sunday 8th August 2010. Links to Emma and Vincent's Las Vegas wedding photographs are provided at the end of this feature – today, we're celebrating the 'UK' leg of this fabulous wedding celebration 🙂
"Our Ceremony was at the Forever Grand Wedding Chapel, MGM Grand Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on Friday 9th July 2010 with a meal afterwards at Casa Di Amore Italian restaurant just off the Las Vegas strip. We then had a UK wedding reception at Aston Hall Hotel, Rotherham on Sunday 8th August 2010 (we went travelling along the Californian coast on honeymoon after Las Vegas so this is why there is a time lapse!).
We choose Las Vegas as we wanted to combine our wedding and honeymoon together, we had always dreamed of a quirky alternative wedding when we got married! What could be more alternative than fabulous Las Vegas! I wanted a little bit of ELvis incorporated into the wedding, but Vincent would not let me – so we settled with the MGM Grand – first step to a successful marriage is compromise after all!"
I LOVE these photographs, simply because they are full of joy and fun – AND, I love that Emma is wearing red lipstick – always, always wins me over that one 🙂

Emma wore an Amanda Wyatt wedding gown called 'Bermuda'…
"I wanted a simple, grecian style dress that would be suitable to wear in the Nevada heat! When i put the dress on, I instantly felt good and most of all comfortable! I particularly loved the pearl/sparkly detail on the waist band – it was simple yet effective."
Ladies in Red…
Emma's Bridesmaids wore beautiful red frocks and shoes from the Debut range at Debenhams and prettied up their overall look with earrings and bracelets from Accessorize…
Feathers and Sparkle…
I love this vintage style headpiece…
"Debbie from DC Bouquets made me a bespoke hair piece – I met with Debbie a couple of times, she sourced me a beautiful vintage brooch and then added feathers, sparkles and pearls to match my wedding dress!"
Vincent was kitted out with thanks to Next, and fabulous he looks too – I love the peep of a red handkerchief in that pocket! 🙂
Casino Style Celebrations!
"The old Hollywood 1950's era, the stars such as Audrey Hepburn, ELvis, Marilyn Monroe, Fred Astaire, Sammy Davis Jr that graced Las Vegas many years ago, inspired us in planning our wedding. We wanted to capture some of that old style glamour into our day.
When we got back to the UK we wanted to include Las Vegas in our wedding reception so that is why we went for a Casino theme."
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
"Start to plan early! Leave plenty of time to turn your ideas into reality. Do not feel like you have to go for the norm, add quirky touches to your ceremony to represent you and your partner.
Keep a few surprises back for the guests, for example we hired a Caricaturist to entertain our guests, and card board pop outs of Elvis etc to keep the Las Vegas theme present in our UK celebrations!"
