The Madeline Isaac James ‘Starlet’ Collection for 2011 ~ Hollywood Golden Era Glamour…

For all you Brides still looking for your dress, take a peek at these beautiful new designs from the Madeline Isaac-James 'Starlet' collection, for 2011.

The Starlet Collection is, as the name suggests, inspired by the gorgeous starlets of the golden era of Hollywood.  This collection hints at a vintage feel, and promises wonderful, glamorous gowns finished in silk with gorgeous Swarovski crystal accents.  The gowns are available in sumptuous fabrics including silk charmeuse, shantung silk and silk organzas and chiffons.  Elegant lines are softened with wisps of silk chiffon and this beautifully cut collection will provide sleek, gorgeous, glamorous wedding gowns for those brides looking for something a little different.

“My latest collections will appeal to modern brides who are looking for a ‘wow-factor’ gown which still maintains an elegant and classic look. The designs have been inspired by two very distinctive eras in terms of look and feel, yet are quite eclectic so we have a stunning gown to suit every bride.  Our collections offer everything from fabulous princess gowns through to sultry, glamorous gowns – all of which fit and flatter the bride beautifully.”

I love that dress above with it's low back and pleated mini-train – so demure – and being the red lipstick obsessed gal that I am, I really like the styling to this photoshoot too 🙂 Good old fashioned Hollywood glamour will never go out of fashion in my books.

The Madeline Isaac-James collection is designed by Natalie Gladman, who named the label after her three children.  Natalie is the fifth generation of her family in the garment industry, her great-great grandfather (who was a Master Tailor and ran a very successful garment business in Glasgow) being the first of many generations to work with (and love) garment design and manufacture, with every generation since following in his footsteps in one form or another.

Natalie’s love all of things bridal started as a very young child, and her first designs were being sketched from the tender age of five.  Her design capability is entirely self-taught with a natural ability to envision beautiful and elegant gowns, whilst interpreting and setting key bridal trends.  She initially took selected commissions for bridal gowns in 2001, and the label, Madeline Isaac-James was formed soon after…

I just love the glamorous look and feel of this collection and it's subtle nod towards the 1920's and 30's….
