Good afternoon to all my UK readers – good morning to my US readers! In homage to this wonderful country I am in right now, I am keen to share this bridal photoshoot, a product of the talented Jodi Miller of Jodi Miller Photography, Virginia, USA.
I love how these images provide inspiration for a beautiful 'rock the dress' shoot. The whole 'whimsical woodland' theme is one I adore, and have featured previously on Love My Dress (you must see this incredibly beautiful 'Whimsical Woodland Inspiration Wedding' feature).
Photographer Jodi tells us more about this video, produced by Josh Gooden, and these charming images….
"We wanted a new take on the coming of Spring. We were first inspired by an industrial design aesthetic including raw metal, light bulbs, clocks, and broken scales. The more the idea developed we wanted to tie in the dormant life of winter being reborn through nature. And so it became a timeless wandering through days gone by, and the beauty of winter coming to an end.
We chose a forest for our location since there were still a lot of leaves on the ground and everything still looked like winter, but it was on the verge of coming to life.a My sister-in-law, Lynn of Sunshowers and Rainshine actually made the wedding dress and the hair piece. She chose to make the dress a little more organic and airy to tie in with our aesthetic. She also came up with the light bulb concept and used them in the bouquet she made as well…"
