Afternoon folks! Apols for being a little later than usual. I am GUTTED 🙁 I've been bidding on an original 1960's copy of Vogue all afternoon with a Bride on the front cover. It was beautiful. I thought it was within my grasp and was picturing myself placing it carefully on my desk and staring at it lovingly as I blogged.
Alas. It is not to be. And I have to admit, I'm feeling somewhat mournful! Some {enter expletive} out-bid me at the very last nano-second. Still, we shall not be without 60's inspiration this afternoon because the lovely Chloe Adlington from 'Adore by Chloe' has sent in these images from a recent 60's inspired photoshoot.
I love this bright yellow colour scheme and fun styling aspect of these images :) Chloe explains more…
"The 60s are one of my favourite eras, what amazing muisc. When Ruth from Sweet Words Stationery asked me to style a 1960's wedding inspiration shoot I didn't hestiate to say yes… a great opportunity to be colourful, retro and quirky!
A huge thankyou to all the talented wedding suppliers involved and the Leopold Hotel in Sheffield, which was the perfect venue for the shoot. It's always a fun day when you can combine an electric guitar, yellow & black shoes, eye liner and lollipops!
If you're inspired by our 1960's wedding ideas please do get in touch with the suppliers involved, we had enough ideas to keep going for at least a week! Finally my top styling tips would be to choose a dress with a high neckline, accessorise with cute bows and to be bold and colourful with your decorations…"
