A beautiful sunny day calls for a beautiful sunny set of photographs, by way of this charming engagement shoot captured on camera by Love My Dress Sponsor, Eliza Claire.
This couple are Marie and Simon and Eliza Claire tell us more about their special sunshine filled photoshoot…
"Marie is a stylist who often works on shoots for magazines such as Ideal Home and Marie Claire, so she had a definite idea about what she wanted from her and Simon's pre-wedding shoot. However, she also wanted to ensure that it wasn't overly-styled, and was about them rather than the props!
It's important to bear in mind that pre-wedding shoots are mainly about getting a couple comfortable in front of the camera – styling is great and really helps to get some amazing images, but the number one purpose is to get a couple who may be nervous about having professional photos taken, to relax and enjoy it, and for me to spend more time with them and really get to know them…."

As Marie explains…
"I’m far far happier behind the camera and Simon likes to throw in a mix of 80′s catalogue poses wherever possible so in almost 11 years together we have very few decent photo’s together. Poor Eliza had her work cut out! I love Eliza's style of photography, so whimsical. Eliza was the first person we booked for our wedding way back when we were still in Sydney, in fact we set our wedding date according to when she was free because we both loved her work so much."
Marie had a story in mind, based on their pre-wedding planning. Their friends would often joke about their habit of going off in Simon's Austin Healey for days out, and coming home loaded up with props for the wedding… the shoot grew from there, really….
I don't think that Eliza Claire could possibly ever take a bad photograph, this is sunshine engagement shoot perfection 🙂
