Bridal Inspiration Board #22 ~ Fields of Gold…

Good morning! And WOW! What a morning it is! As I write this sentence, I am sat on a bed in the fabulous Trafalgar Hotel in London, with great views of a very sunny Trafalgar Square.  I was in London last night for a secret preview viewing of the first episosde of Season 2 of Boardwalk Empire. It was FABulous! But more on that later…

For this morning, I wanted to share a rather beautiful set of inspiration boards with you from Guest Blogger Michelle of Pocketful of Dreams who turns her focus to the golden hues of Autumn, although I have to say, today is feeling and looking very much like Summer from where I'm sat…

I am well and truly inspired by the season we're in right now and loving the golden glow of falling autumn leaves. A rustic wedding style is one where you can really get creative with the delicate, handmade little touches think lots of wood, burlap, twine and natural elements like pinecones and even leaves.

Within this inspiration board I adore that image on the top row of the relaxed, boho bride with flowers in her hair and the soft sunlight falling on her shoulders, so natural and so incredibly lovely. A rural barn setting is perfect for a laid-back shindig, imagine dancing the night away down on the farm, and a real homespun feel to the proceedings…

♥  The dress I've chosen is a bohemian style in raw silk which has a natural nubby look. The dress is by a designer called KTJean, based in Phoenix USA, and is available to buy on Etsy with very reasonable shipping to the UK. All of  KT Jean Designs designs are inspired by nature, making this the perfect choice for this rustic wedding style.

Homespun and homemade are the order of the day so get crafty with delicate details such as:

*  Handwritten wooden signs
*  Twine ball decor hanging from the trees
*  Wildflowers placed in old glass jars, milk bottles and buckets
*  Place settings made up from natural elements, such as pinecones, leaves, apples wrapped up in burlap or brown paper, or have sweet little woodland animal figurines like in this picture ~ cute and quirky
*  Wood and bark detailing can be used to great effect, from wooden stumps used to display items like your wedding cake, to creating your very own coasters and placemats out of wood. (I have previously featured a fab tutorial on making Rustic Wedding Table Numbers which you can view here)
*  And no rustic wedding would be complete without a homemade dessert bar, have everyone you know bring a dish with them, from pie to cake. Think heartwarming foods like apple-pie, peanut butter pie-pops, shortbread cookies and oatmeal slices
*  Keep things laid back with refectory-style bench seating, ditch the table plan and have everyone mix and mingle to their hearts content.
