Hello my darlings 😉 I couldn't resist featuring this wonderful wedding this afternoon on Love My Dress, such is the prettiness of it, so forgive me for the later than usual post but you'll see why I couldn't hold back below!
Chris and Bryony, who told me they didn't want any kind of formal and fussy affair, tied the knot over 2nd and 3rd September 2011, at FForest Campsite at Gilgerran Near Cardigan. Determined to have a relaxed wedding, they say it was the one and only venue they visited. And if you only spare a second to visit the FForest website, you will surely see why. This brings a whole new dimension to the term 'glamping'! Me love love LOVE!
Bryony wore the sweetest dress and veil by Emma Hunt. The dress is gorgeous but I just love how Bryony has fashioned her veil across her forehead, so so pretty!
"It was the first dress of the five that I tried on, that I really felt like me in…."

Clever Bryony opting for comfy flats on her wedding day. Cleverer still that they were Jimmy Choo's!
Bryony's bridesmaids wore dresses from Warehouse with Converse trainers and orange pashmina's that were a steal at £2.50 each, from a stall on Oxford Street…
"Chris's Sister made our wonderful VW wedding cakes – we didn’t want a traditional cake so decided to go for camper vans as the venue was a campsite. We had one carrot cake and one lemon cake…."
A rather dapper Spencer Hart suit, don't you think? Cute sunflower boutonnière too…
"My Dad gave me away – we walked down the aisle to 'That Man' by Caro Emerald…"
"We met at work and were both left quite speechless by one another. We got to know one another as friends and then started to date. Chris proposed in Marakech on a roof-top, which was a completely unexpected surprise – however I made him ask 3 times just so I could enjoy the moment!"
"We actually didn't plan to have a 'fist dance' – it was a last minute addition to the day after Gary our photographer said he'd love to capture some photographs of us dancing. In the end we danced to Belle & Sebastian’s ‘Funny Little Frog. Chris gave this song to me when we first got together…"
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
"Don’t worry about it, but make sure you marry a man who will do the organising, then you can enjoy spending time finding the right dress!"
Amen to that! {….possibly the wisest words of wisdom ever! ;)}
Oh wow, I just adore this wedding, the veil, that beautiful lace Emma Hunt dress, the amazing location!
This post has inspired our family holiday this year. Fforest – check your email! I fancy a spot of 'glamping' 😉
Ladies, I'm so in to the idea of marrying on a campsite {see more tipi and tent inspiration right here}. Do any of you have a campsite affair planned for your wedding? And who fancies a spot of 'glamping' this year please? 😉
