These charming photographs were sent in by a photographer I met recently when I attended an Aspire training session to speak about blogging and working with wedding bloggers. Stu Cooper of Cooper Photography was one of the delegates present – and asked me lots of questions {thanks Stu!}, and we've kept in touch since. Since discovering we both adore film photography, we kind of hit it off pretty quickly.
This lovely engagement session follows Hayley and Dan on a relaxed and intimate walk about the beach. I really love these images…
"For their engagement session, Hayley said they wanted to do something special and when they mentioned they had a little boat I jumped at that idea. Originally we spoke about putting the boat in a field but then decided that the beach was the best place.
We shared ideas over Pinterest and created a board that was styled around vintage beach stuff with images of Grace Kelly on the beach, and 1950's beach style. Hayley has quite a vintage way of dressing and Dan is never without his Ray-bans so it was nice to focus on their style…"

"We picked a date in April and luckily it was a sunny day. We met at the location which was Steamer Point in Dorset, and scheduled it in the evening to get the best light. We didn't want to go too mad with the props as we wanted it to look natural and not too contrived.
Hayley is a photographer herself so the cameras had significance, especially the little pentax as this was her Granddads camera. There was a bit of direction from me for the session but they are so good together that it's all them, and they look so good together…."
Absolutely delightful, thank you Stuart for sharing these really lovely photographs.
