Good morning lovers! Did you catch the wedding posted late yesterday afternoon? It's a glorious seaside meets countryside affair with a reception at the one and only River Cottage (ala, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall).
This morning's wedding is another countryside affair, only this time, in the beautiful surroundings of North Yorkshire – which I love of course as that's where I live myself! Louise and Frank tied the knot on 7 July 2012 at The
Star, Harome, North Yorkshire and had a fabulous PapaKata dance tent to finish off the party scene.
Louise's lovely dress was a bit of a design collaboration between her and Hayley of Glory Days Vintage in York (who I recommend in my new book!) and these gorgeous photographs were sent in by our very talented sponsor, Andy
Wardle.
"My dress was a design collaboration with Hayley at Glory Days Vintage – she is amazing! I also wore an antique
family brooch and veil made by Hayley using left over silk from my
dress. And I wore a beautiful pair of vintage diamond earrings – a surprise from Frank."

"Our Florist was Nicola
Lawerence of Passiflora. I made cupcakes for her wedding the month before she
did my flowers!"
I love love these 'Mimi' shoes by Rachel
Simpson…
I just adore that this wedding was inspired by a favourite memory from my childhood – the ‘Brambly Hedge’ books (you can see another wedding that was inspired by these magical books here on Love My Dress too!)
"Frank and I met
through mutual friends and have been together since 2000! We got engaged on holiday in November 2011 whilst in Sydney, Australia and finally tied the knot in July 2012.
We
wanted our day to be informal and relaxed but stylish at the same time inspired
by the venue and the ‘Brambly Hedge’ books. The whole day was amazing! Best weather day of the year"
"We decorated the venue with vintage
ribbon, bunting, memory photographs of our family members and lovely vintage toys…."
"The cakes were made by The
Star and I worked with them on the design, based on the inspiration I sought from The Brambly Hedge Books…"
"Our photographer was Andy
Wardle – he was very relaxed and informal and good fun!"
"My
dad, Irvine, walked me down the aisle, to the intro theme from the film ‘Rocky’!"
Words of Wedded WIsdom…
"Follow
your heart and never accept the word no! Plan surprises but don’t get to
obsessed with the finer details. If something goes wrong don’t worry about it
you’re the only one that will know about it on the day! The team at ‘The Star’
were fabulous and shared our vision and executed it in the most perfect way.
Anna is an absolute angel from heaven.
Let
friends take charge in the morning with the decorating so I could have chilled
out more!"
How lovely is this?
I love how charming and relaxed this wedding is and just love that Louise looked to Brambly Hedge for ideas and inspiration – you can see more weddings that were inspired by the The Brambly Hedge Books here on Love My Dress.
A big thank you to our sponsor Andy

I love the inspiration behind this wedding! And is it just me or does the food look really, really good. I’m practically salivating over my laptop here! Beautiful, stylish bride too 🙂
