When I'm not slaving over my computer or off gallivanting on behalf of Love My Dress, one of my favourite past times is baking. I was even crazy enough to make my own wedding cake. 24 hours before I walked down the aisle, I was slaving away in my mother's kitchen icing around 80 cupcakes of various flavours. I was also responsible for the huge centrepiece of our dessert table, a spiced apple layer cake with brown sugar frosting.

'Our edible cake paper is designed to transform a plain
wedding or celebration cake into something unique and beautiful. It is extremely cost-effective and available in a range of vintage and
contemporary style designs. We’re confident you can create a
cake that will perfectly compliment the look and feel of your celebration.'
It's genius I tell you! Printed with
edible inks on to edible icing paper, the strips are 100% safe, and I'm told very
tasty, to eat. All you’ll need to do is cut the strips out with
scissors and adhere to a smooth, iced cake surface with either white
piped icing or edible glue which are both available in all good supermarkets.
Each design is thoughtfully created with linear aspects for ease of
application and a seamless finish. Not only is this the perfect
option for customising either a supermarket cake or something homemade, you don't need any baking or creative experience to use
these edible strips either! Alternatively, if you have enlisted the help of a professional cake artist, most have experience of working with cake
paper and would be open to using this product.
As well as ordering cake paper from their existing
collections, In The Treehouse welcome enquiries regarding bespoke design and can
also provide plain coloured edible icing paper for a classic, elegant look.

If ordering in advance,
it’s advisable to use the strips within 2 months of purchase, and to
store them in a cool, shaded place within their original packaging
until application. Each pack contains a sheet with 3 strips measuring 5.7cm x 23cm {totalling 69cm in length per sheet}. Each sheet of 3
strips is priced at £15. To work out how many sheets you’ll need, you may find it
helpful to work out the circumference of your cake tiers by using this
simple online conversion tool. Delivery (to a
UK address) is within 5 working days of purchase and if you're ordering edible cake paper alone P+P will be £4. For international
