A little late Friday afternoon treat for you lovely readers. Joanne and Stuart's divine and glamorous winter wedding took place on 14 December last year at Bury Saint Edmunds in Suffolk. This is such a sweet wedding, full of handmade touches and elegant vintage references.
"We very much stuck to the vintage style that inspires our home furnishings – we loved collecting various gems from car boot sales and charity shops. For our reception, we put a tipi in a field near the church where we got married.
It was such a wonderful day – I think my favourite parts were walking down the aisle and the speeches."

"Stuart and I met at school. We've been together for 10 years and we got engaged in Sardinia. Our engagement lasted 15 months."
"We did all the flowers ourselves! It was great fun going to the wholesalers and arranging them with the bridesmaids the day before."
Joanne wore a stunning Jenny Packham gown that she purchased via Miss Bush Bride.
"I instantly loved the way it made me feel!"
"I wore a birdcage veil that cost me just £10 on EBay! I fitted the veil to the headpiece myself. The headpiece came from the same boutique I bought my dress : Miss Bush Bridal."
"Joanne's bridesmaids wore midnight blue, floor length gowns from John Lewis, along witih hair slides, earrings and necklaces all purchased from Glitzy Secrets."
"Our photographer was Mark Tattersall, who is truly brilliant, unassuming, professional & extremely talented.”
"My mum made all the cakes and biscuits which we displayed on a cake table with vintage cake stands and a lace tablecloth."
"For our first dance, we had 'Hey Ho' by The lumineers. I just love the lyrics – 'I belong with you, you belong with me, your my sweetheart.'"
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
“Stick to your decisions, even if other people think your crazy! It's your wedding!
We also regret not having our wedding filmed.”
What an absolutely gorgeous day! So beautifully photographed by one of my personal favourite UK wedding photographers, Mark Tattersall.
Huge congratulations to you both, Joanne and Stuart, and thanks so much for allowing us to share your day.

Oooh – lovely! Jo looks absolutley gorgeous and the twee! I am love with the tweed! xxx
Beautiful! Such a lovely, natural bride, and all the bridesmaids look so snug in their fur wraps! Mark is photographing my wedding 2 weeks tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited 🙂
An absolutely stunning winter wedding!! Being a December bride this year as well, I would love to know if anyone knows where I can find a tipi company who could do this kind of thing- and keep everyone warm at the same time! Any ideas?
Gorgeous – I would love to know where the bride’s fur stole is from, or if anyone has seen something similar?
What a dress, and gorgeous photography x
Beautiful pictures are taken. these clearly show the fun they had on the wedding day. I like the wedding dress and the simple wedding jewelry. Congrats to the couple.
Ahh thanks for taking the time to write us such lovely messages! We were so thrilled with how our wedding day went & feel very flattered that other people liked it too!
Kirsty, I’m happy to sell my vintage fur stole as it seems silly to keep it in the wardrobe whilst you search for one! It’s a 1950s original & sits beautifully on the shoulders without you having to hold it or pin it in place, I’d have to ask £150 for it including postage.
Chess; the tipi company was called Tipis4Hire, ask for Graham, he was absolutely brilliant, so personable & helpful and overall they were very reasonably priced.
If we can help with anyone else’s wedding plans, don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Oh no, I JUST saw this!! Still hunting! Have you sold it already?
