Brides The Show: The Most Fashion-Forward Bridal Event Of The Year

It seems that our little introduction to the fabulous event that is Brides The Show has certainly picqued the interest and we know that lots of you have got your tickets all booked. So, just to whet your appetite a little more (and convince those of you that haven’t yet cleared your diary that you need to hop along), we’re going to take a little look at some of the exhibitors that you can look forward to seeing.

Today, we’re featuring all things fashion from gorgeous gowns for brides and maids to accessories and boutiques.

To be completely honest, we’re already super excited to browse the stands of the designers at the show. The prospect of rails full of tulle, chiffon and silk is almost too much. But, we’ll try to control ourselves as we run through some of the exhibitor you’re going to fall for…

Kate Halfpenny’s effortlessly chic creations will certainly be on our ‘must see’ list as will the beautiful embellished gowns of Vicky Rowe. Both of these designers have a strong, individual style that we just love. That’s the joy of Brides The Show, there’s just such variety – from the show-stopping gowns of Ian Stuart and the established beauty of Stephanie Allin to the elegant refinement of Andrea Hawkes and the ethereal delicacy of Naomi Neoh. You can view, touch and experience styles that you might not have considered before or you can be made surer of your choice. Wedding perfection.

Brides The Show is also a showcase for young labels so we’ll certainly be checking out Katya Katya Shehurina (especially after we fell for her designs here on Love My Dress) and also the beautiful shoes of Charlotte Mills that are all hand-finished with a silver sixpence and the bridal rhyme ‘something borrowed’ embossed on the leather soles.

Bridal boutiques are also well represented and you can make your appointments with the iconic Browns Bride among others. Boutiques provide such great service for brides from helping you put together your perfect look to ensuring that your gown is precisely fitted before your big day.

We can’t wait to see the selections of new season styles from the likes of Monique Lhuillier and Delphine Manivet.

With the boutiques also bringing along accessories, there’s lots of inspiration for those all-important finishing touches but you really mustn’t miss Lila. Her handcrafted flower headpieces are truly stunning and we’re huge fans of her beautifully delicate designs and softly striking pieces.

Tiararama will also be satisfying our ever-present craving for sparkle and glamour. With designs that range from simple and subtle right through to bold statement, we know you’ll be smitten too.

We promised you that there would be plenty for maids and the important women in your life won’t be disappointed with the rather brilliant Maids To Measure and Twobirds exhibiting at the show. There’s also Little Bevan, designers of darling mini luxe outfits for flowergirls and younger bridesmaids. We can’t wait to see their little models on the catwalk

And the catwalk, how could we finish without mentioning the centrepiece of the show? Styled by Brides legendary fashion director, Bryony Toogood, we have absolutely no doubt that the ‘English Rose’ themed production, promising whimsical romance and femininity, will be sensational. We’ll see you there…

Brides The Show takes place this autumn at the Business Design Centre, Islington (located at 52 Upper St, London, N1 0QH), between 3-5 October and tickets are available now.

In addition to the exceptional list of exhibitors and the stunning catwalk shows, there’s also lots more to enjoy including ‘on the sofa’ sessions with wedding experts and the Brides team, the Inspiration Room and Sommelier’s Table as well as an indulgent champagne bar and tranquil tea garden. It’s a perfect day out!
