Hello again and welcome to the very delicious prospect of a long Easter weekend. I am so excited and will be filling my house with spring colour ahead of Sunday lunch. I’ll obviously also be hoping for beautiful spring weather but, having looked at the weather forecast, I think I shall have to satisfy my craving for light elsewhere and happily, this feature does just that as it’s full of gorgeous images that are making me smile. Let me introduce you to the super lovely photographer, Hannah Duffy of Wedding Belles…
“My business came about thanks to a happy accident!” says Hannah, “I was working in commercial photography and a client, who was getting married, asked me to cover her day. I said yes, had the best time and was immediately hooked.”

From that beginning, Hannah’s business has grown and grown whilst couples in the UK and overseas have all fallen in love with her delightful photographic style that mixes editorial images with fine art photography that tell the story of the wedding day in a fresh, photojournalistic style.
“I spend my weekdays between London and Cambridge and cover weddings throughout the UK and internationally. My wedding photography business has taken to so many exciting places such as France, Spain, Morocco and even Mexico. But, whilst I love these locations, it’s the weddings themselves that really inspire me.”
I just love Hannah’s fresh, romantic style and the combination of the editorial style and the super elegant, timeless images are absolutely adorable. Hannah admits to always being attracted to beautiful light and colour and this is clear to see in her images. That dreamy, almost ethereal light is all kinds of lovely.
Another element that is, in some ways, just as important as the images themselves is Hannah’s approach to her work which has developed to ensure that couples receive the very best wedding photographs as possible.
“For the most part, I try to cover the day in a photojournalistic way, covering the day as it happens and I also take the time to capture the details of the day, styling the still life elements of the wedding,” she explains. “I also bring a relaxed and modern take to the bride and groom’s photographs so there’s real laughter and real joy throughout.”
“I’m very aware that many of my clients have never been professionally photographed so I lightly direct the couple and take the time to make sure everyone is relaxed, at ease and looking their best. But, it’s the genuine emotions that shines through and I never want my work to seem posed or staged.”
To me, this is a picture perfect combination. Personalities to prevail but Hannah’s expertise is there as a light guiding hand to make the whole wedding photography experience enjoyable and natural whilst also guaranteeing that you’ll be presented with wonderful images that are a real reflection of your day.
